Great little town, loads of lads having a day out with their mates, no trouble, no jesters hats, no megastore bags, four quid in and we won! The muppets are welcome to his debt, I don't care about Rio, he don't care about me.....

What can I say about Saturday..?? Well I was on the road from my adopted home town of Gateshead at 6.45am and arrived 'home' in Salford in time to pick my friend up. It lashed down all day (a la Boro at home in 97). Even the floodlight blowing and nearly crashing on me didn't dampen the spirits. The pubs of Leek were drunk dry, lots of old faces who no longer go to OT for one reason or another, good banter with the locals and the Radio Stoke commentator made for a cracking day out. The repetoire of new and hilarious songs. Oh and WE won 5-2!!! If this is a taste of things to come, Glazer can keep my season ticket from next year.

"Under the Boardwalk, watching FC, there'll be NO jesters hats or Sky TV"...brilliant!!!

One of the best days I've had at football for years and years. Simple as that! Forza FCUM.

It doesnt get much better than this. Fantastic display all round, the team, the fans, the yellow van on the hill, Scooby Doo. Most ludicrous chant I have heard in years...it parts to the left, it parts to the right, that boys haircut, will always be rubbish. Beautiful. One slight concern. There were a few landlords up Leek Town way a bit unwilling to accept the red pound and mancunian bonhomie. I hope this is not a trend that will develop over the coming season...

I've been to every F.C United game have a vivid memory of each one. I can remember when I enjoyed football so much. I keep remembering things about going to games that somehow were lost at Old Trafford years ago. It isn't just that F.C United fans know how to enjoy themselves. The camaraderie is superb. But it's also the detail. The decent food made by local bakers and not pre-packed from some factory in plastic bags. Stewards who are pleased to help and let the kids have a kick about at half time. The fact I can get to away games again. Players who make a point of genuinely thanking you for your support, and not just their wages. To be able to stand where you want, with whom you want, and everyone you talk to is really enjoying themselves. I can well understand why any City fan that has attended F.C United games would want to revamp Maine Road F.C. Unless Maine Road gets promoted, we will be playing a derby against them next year when we move up to step 5. Looking forward to the first home game next Saturday for more of the same. Viva la FUCM!

What a day. What an experience. I honestly thought that days like this would never happen again. Drinking, larking, singing, laughing...atmosphere. United away comes close but nothing matches this for sheer enjoyment. Unbelievable.

Went to Leek on Saturday out of curiosity. If Im honest, I've been unsure about which way I will go since Glazer took over and since FC were formed. I have a beef or two with some of those who are behind FC because Im unsure of their motives. I was wondering whether there was a big ego thing going on. Im still a bit iffy but one thing I will say is that I have not experienced this level of fun at a football match for a long time. The trip to Scouseville is always a laugh as are some of the euro trips but this is something else. The hair was standing on the back of my head. The joy and I have to say the sadness was palpable. That song about Rio got to me cos it was tinged with sadness and defiance. I'll still get to United when I can because Im United but I fully support whats happening with FC also. Regardless of ego issues, what has been created is real and offers a viable alternative to paying Glazers dues. Give it a go and make your own mind up before criticising. I have a feeling you wont be disappointed.

Good call guys. Got to give you credit for being so creative. Mr Glazer and his family have no love for Manchester and are simply using it to gain more capital. If you remain this passionate I am sure you will survive no matter whats in store. My only wish is that there was enough like minded people on this side of the world to replicate your ingenuity. We are far too comfortable to get off our asses and resist. You have a long battle on your hands as the Glazers are no pushovers but with the passion that you guys are showing, it may be that you have a chance.

Fc United must write it in their constitution that fans will have a good time, will sing, will drink will drink will drink, will entertain, will stand, will be boisterous, will make up the worlds most ridiculous chants, will be free and if ive not mentioned already, drink. If not, they will be banished to the wasteland that is Old Trafford currently. Fc is an inspiration towards what we could have there if people wake up. Roll on the post Glazer communion.

Travelling to Manchester on Saturday to see United v Villa. Have heard great things about FC United. Does anybody know how easy it would be to get from Old Trafford to Bury? Forza Irish Reds and Man+FC United.

To Brian Daly, Tramore
Relatively easy to get to Gigg Lane from OT - JUST FOLLOW THE NOISE !!! Or alternatively get the metrolink from Trafford Bar get off at Bury walk down Knowsley street past Bury Town Hall then down Manchester Rd and Gigg lane is on the left. Or by car jump on the M60 and travel clockwise to junction 17 (Whitefield) turn left at the roundabout and travel for about 2 miles and Giggsy lane is on the right. Hope that helps, hope you get there - you won't be disappointed.

Brian Daly, Tramore - If you want to avoid the 'Tram crunch' at the end of the O.T. game them try this route. Leave O.T. at the North and East stand intersection, cross the Narrow boat Canal Bridge and make your way to the lights. Cross the road and walk right along the line of burger vans until you reach the 'Liverpool' building. Walk to the left round the 'Liverpool' building and keep going past the second line of burger vans adjacent to the Ship Canal until you reach the red arched 'Trafford swing bridge'. Cross the bridge and walk down as far as the traffic light. Cross the road and there is a tram stop right in front of you which goes straight to Bury. You can pick up on the directions from Stumpy, Radcliffe (below) from there. Hope this helps. It does mean walking a bit further, but you don't have to do any queing up, so it will be faster. Be quick out of your seat at O.T. and you should arrive in time for a pint or two before kick off.

Cant muster enthusiasm for Old Trafford. Have been trying to rally myself but feel a sickness in the pit of my stomach ever since that faithful day in May. Never thought anything could make me feel this way about United. I sympathise with the guy who wrote about his confusion during the FA cup final. Wanting to win but not feeling anything deep down. The dilemma just wont go away. Not been to Fc yet but my best mate has been to every game. Getting hammered on a daily basis by him about the difference in atmosphere between FC and OT. Seriously considering taking in first half at OT on Saturday and checking out FC at Gigg Lane. Part of me feels treacherous even writing this but another part of me feels that I havent got a choice. There are people whom I wont mention that I hate for putting me in this position. In fact, hate is not strong enough a word.

P.S. If you get a Piccadilly tram, don't forget to change at Piccadilly Gardens or you will end up in Piccadilly train station and have to go back on yourself (no point in wasting precious drinking time). Also, don't forget to buy your Tram ticket before you get on. The fine for not having a ticket before you get on is about B#25.00.

All credit to FC United, saw them dish up seven goals last night and thought it was a top atmosphere. Good luck to you from a Blue.
