This lad is a decent player...having seen him put the 3 goals past us a few weeks ago he could be a very good acquisition. If Kyle Wilson manages to play again this season we'll have a pretty decent strike force.

Directions: From the South 1: Leave the M6 at Junction 11 and follow signs for Rugeley (A460). 2. On reaching the A5 at Churchbridge Island. Turn onto the A460 signposted Rugeley and follow this road over five traffic islands. At the sixth traffic island by a ’Chase’ petrol station turn right past a McDonalds restaurant and follow this road to the next island which is ’Cross Keys Island’. Go over this island to the next small island and turn right. Keys Park football ground is on the left.

From the North and West: Leave the M6 at Junction 12 and follow the A5 signposted Cannock. On reaching Longford Island, (McDonalds on right), continue along the A5 towards Brownhills and follow the remaining directions from ’2’ above.

From the East: From the A38 or M42 join the A5 and head towards Brownhills. Continue along A5 towards Cannock past Watling Street Business Park on the left. At the next island take the right exit signposted ’Hednesford’ passing a large pub called ’The Turf on the left. Follow this road until reaching an island, (Five Ways Island), take the second exit, the B4154, through Heath Hayes village and straight over a small island. On reaching the next island, ’Cross Keys Island’, take the right turn signposted ’Keys Park’. At the next island turn right and Keys Park football around is on the left. M6 Toll The M6 Toll will be of benefit to clubs and officials from the South (not South West), exit at Junction T7 and follow the instructions From the South, section 2 – second sentence.

This is great news. He was outstanding against us but I dare say he took note of the atmosphere and the passion of the fans. Although we don't pay the best money, it must be of great appeal to players to turn out in front of the "Wall Of Sound" every week. Roll on Hednesford tomorrow !

C'mon the Reds lets make it four in a row

This can potentially be a deadly partnership. However, it will take time for Marsh to settle in to FC's style, so he probably won't make much of an impact for a few games. Next season, though...I think they can produce about 55 goals between them, with FC finding the net about 90 times in total, assuming that there is no promotion this season and the two remain healthy.

Good last-minute result at Hednesford. That can be a very important point. FC are looking good versus Ashton on Wednesday.

A sensational last gasp free-kick from Simon Garner grabbed a 2-2 draw for FC United at Hednesford Town on Saturday afternoon but the Reds could have come away with more valuable points for their promotion push. Garner's goal, which was literally the second to last kick of the game, ended the match on a high but United will feel that they played well enough to just shade a victory and they may well have done if it wasn't for a controversial penalty awarded to the home team. One of the Hednesford Town players fell over in the box with absolutely no contact what so ever. He got up and carried on playing. The Referee who was stood right in from to the lad who fell over took no notice until he saw the linesman 30 yards away with the flag across his chest. The FC players could not believe it! The Hednesford players could not believe their luck. I can't believe the Referee didn't overrule the liner. At least this result keeps us in the play offs mix. Viva la Revolution, come on FC.

Looks like the worlds biggest Non League team are cherry picking the best players again.

Here we go again. Yet another person commenting on something they know very little about. Please Mr Frank explain to me how we can "cherry pick" players when we have one of the smallest budgets to spend in the Unibond? We have only 5 or 6 players on contracts....the rest of the players can come & go as they please. Maybe players want to join us due to the magnificent atmosphere the fans create week in week out. In addition to this, our manager states regularly that any decent player who plays for us and gets noticed by clubs higher up the ladder is perfectly fine. He is happy to get as many of them into full time football on professional contracts as he can, something we can't offer them at the moment.

Next up, FC UNITED v. ASHTON UNITED, tonight, Wednesday 25th March 2009 at Gigg Lane, kick off 7.45pm. Tonight's match will see a half-time presentation on the pitch to the team from St. Matthew’s RC High School who won the Manchester College 7 a side tournament for Year 11 students on Friday 6th March. FC United would like to congratulate the St. Matthew's team who won through a strong field of entries from schools across Manchester and Salford. The ballboys and ballgirls at tonight's game include youngsters from just up the road from St. Matthew's. They have been attending an FC United after-school club taking place at St. Anne's RC Primary School in Ancoats.

A pub team footballer if ever I saw one, lets face it, you are going nowhere now this season. you are too far behind to make the play offs, better get used to it from now on, I think you have found your level.

Promotion push? More like a relegation dogfight.

Well said Dukinfield Blue. However, now that the novelty has worn off and the fans are drifting away, fc united will struggle in the future and will be facing relegation, not only at this level, but in the leagues below!

Fantastic perfomance form the whole team last nioght in the 4-0 win over Ashton United. Everyone looked very sharp and really up for it, some very good goals as well that people would be drooling over if they had been scored by a premier league player in a telivised match. Great atmosphere as usual which is something the bitters coming on here can only dream of.
Quite amusing how they feel threatend by a so called pub team. Are they worried that some day in a few years from now that Manchester will have two teams competing in Europe and City will not be one of them?
