STALYBRIDGE Celtic striker Matty Barlow netted injury-time equaliser to deny ten-man Droylsden victory over their Bower Fold neighbours in a typically tight Tameside derby in front of a Butcher's Arms crowd of 772.

Barlow struck in the third of five added minutes to rescue a point for Bridge shortly after Bloods defender Sean Newton had been sent off for his second bookable offence.

Tony Gray had given Droylsden a 52nd minute lead, but Newton's dismissal proved decisive as Bridge seized on the advantage it gave them to snatch a 1-1 draw.

It leaves the Celts still seven points above Droylsden in the race for the Blue Square North play-offs, although the Bloods do have two games in hand on Steve Burr's fifth-placed side.
