FCUoM 5 Cammell Laird 5 in 10 goal classic & 2 in 2 days for me. Up the Reds

FC United staged an amazing comeback last night with two goals in the last ten minutes which saw FC United claw their way back from 5-2 down to five all against Cammell Laird at Gigg Lane. Laird's Eddie Jebb took the lead on 17 minutes before Simon Carden levelled after 20 minutes. Kyle Wilson struck three minutes later for his 18th goal of the season to poke United ahead but a defensive mix up ensured the Merseysiders were 2-4 up by the break with goals from John Collins and two from Mark Reed. In the second half Laird's Reed struck again in the first 20 minutes to leave the Reds looking dead and buried at 2-5 down. I would put Lairds 2, 3 & 5 down to defensive errors which to me shows how valuable have Dave Chadwick and left back Simon Garner become to our defence. Then Wilson struck his second of the night with 20 minutes to go! That was the turning point of the match with the volume pumped up from a reinvigorated support the United players threw everything at Laird who were soon to learn this was no place to take your foot off the gas. Margy played his ace card bringing Chris Baguley and Nick Robinson off the bench to rescue a point for the hosts in the last ten minutes and maintain our record of not having any club do the double over us in any league. What a match, Gigg lane was buzzing. It was one of those where you walked away feeling like you'd won a cup final. I hear the Lairds were gutted. And to cap it off 'pool lost to Spurs as well (lol) Viva la revolution, come on FC.
