The former Crewe starlet struck first with an 13th minute penalty awarded for a foul on Adam Carden before rounding off FC's 3-0 second qualifying-round victory at Worksop with a sublime chip.
In between, Wilson, whose tally for the season now stands at an impressive 17, crossed for for skipper Dave Chadwick to head home the second goal.
But Karl Marginson's men hadn't had things all their own way in the early stages with keeper Sam Ashton twice having to deny the home side with five saves.
No such joy for Ashton United, whose Wembley dreams are over for another season after they fell 2-0 to Ilkeston at Hurst Cross in a tie which saw Robins chief Danny Johnson dismissed for dissent.
Meanwhile, Witton Albion suffered a ninth successive defeat - their worst run in more than 75 years - in sinking 2-1 at home to Eastwood inthe UniBond premier division.
FA Cup heroes Curzon Ashton had an off-day in division one north, losing 1-0 to visiting FC Halifax, while Mossley were thumped 5-0 in front of their own supporters by Newcastle Blue Star.
Vodkat League title hopefuls New Mills closed the gap on leaders AFC Fylde to five points with Adam Mather's 36th minute strike giving them a 1-0 home victory over the table- topping FA Vase holders. Tweet

Karl Marginsons new look young team are really starting to gel now. The Wilson/Roca partnership is fast becoming a formidable front line and I don't think there are any teams we have played that we couldn't get a result against. We have been drawn at home to Boston in the 3rd round qualifying of The FA Trophy. Boston are a good side with large support that were playing league football against Bury FC when we first moved into Gigg lane. What a difference three and a bit seasons have made. The match was scheduled to take place on Saturday 22nd November 2008, however Bury FC are at home on that day so the match will be played on Sunday 23rd November 2008, kick off 3.00pm. Viva la Revolution, come on FC.
Other FC United News - As part of the FC United Refugee Football Project funded by the Co-operative Membership, Karl Marginson will be running two drop in training sessions at Manchester College, Nicholls Street Campus, (off Hyde Road) on Friday 7th November and Tuesday 11th November.
Both sessions will last from 10am to 12 noon. The Friday session is for women and the Tuesday is for men. The main purpose of the sessions is to have a laugh, get some exercise and meet some people. FC United is working with Refugee Action to publicise the sessions amongst refugees in Greater Manchester. We are also welcoming all our members and supporters to come along as well. It really doesn't matter whether you are any good at football or how fit you are. It is a fun session led by our charismatic manager. So if you, or anybody you know would enjoy it, please spread the word.
To take part you need to bring trainers and a towel. There are changing facilities available. If you are intending to come, it helps us if you let us know in advance, however this is not essential. Please leave a message on 0161 962 4298 or e-mail robinpye@fc-utd.co.uk.
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
The second-half display on Saturday continued the impressive form shown in the previous victory over high-flying Ilkeston. Now that this season's new boys have settled we have a terrific squad for Margy to choose from. The most pleasing thing is that we are winning by playing open, attractive football, with passing and movement second to none at our level. Indeed, the Worksop boss stated "FC are the best team we have played this season."
Just watch out for our latest "find" - young Alex Skidmore at left back. Unbelievable composure from a 17-year old.
By the way, Malcolm G - I hope your namesake sends you a Christmas card. It's the least he can do after your help in paying his debts. There are a few more American billionaires in trouble with this credit crunch - are you going to send them a donation as well ?

A tremendous find for us, his composure for a 17 year-old is amazing.
By the way, Malcolm G, will you be getting a Christmas card from your namesake this year ? I mean, it's the least he can do after all your help in paying his debts. In fact, due to the credit crunch, there are now a number of other American billionaires who are also struggling financially. Are you going to send them donations too ? It's only fair after all.
Malc! Wake up! If you keep sleeping while you are supposed to be posting I may be the only detractor awake enough to see this thing runs into the ground by Christmas 2008.
We're panicking now. Dash and Malc are going to run is into the ground. How are you going to achieve this because it sounds like you actually don't get out much and live a sheltered and pitiful life. With the mental ages of about 5 years 3 months.
Is this the same bitter blue who said last week it was all over xmas 2007 (lol)
The gnome and the walnut joining forces against us ! We're terrified. It's like Freddy Kruger joining with Norman Bates. Actually no, it's more like Sooty and Sweep. Still, they are always good for a laugh.
Not them again! Mister G never types more than a sentence (usually something about Droylsden or ZZZZZ) and the other one, walnut whatsisface, appears to be on hard drugs of late judging by his ramblings. Classic WUMs though in every sense.
