Papis cleared for Rebels

PAPIS Djeeyte is lined up for his FC United debut in the depths of South Yorkshire tonight.

The Senegalese midfielder's international clearance has finally come through and he is likely to get a place on the bench in the UniBond League premier division clash withstruggling Frickley Athletic (7.45pm).

"Papis' clearance coming through is a big boost to us, especially as going to Frickley is always a battle," says manager Karl Marginson.

"I will be picking a team with the conditions in mind. It's an old mining village, the ground is in the shadow of a slag heap and it's the kind of place where if you don't meet the challenge head on you will come unstuck."

Papis Smapis . . . Where are the GPS directions to the next away match Free Red?? There are at least 2 or 3 people waiting! Maybe I am overestimating the desire and passion of the TENS of the FC Faithful. Why do you not commandeer a bus and drive everyone to the next away match Free Red?? You could call it the Free Red Express and offer free Jello Shooters included in the 5 quid fare.

Frickley 1 FCUoM 3 And what a cracking night out it was even if kick of was 45 mins late due to a crash on the M62. I thought they were a bit of a dirty team Frickley who used muscle to make up for their lack of skill it all came right in the end though. Up the Reds!

FRICKLEY 1-3 FC UNITED with Fc Simon Garner, Kyle Wilson and Danny Williams. United turned up late to successfully pit their wits against Frickley Athletic on last night. The match was delayed by 45 minutes due to an accident on the M62 east but despite barely having time to warm up the Reds ran rings around the Frickley midfield although if Frickley had taken their chances it could have easily ended 2-2. Even so IMO man for man we were the better team and that reflected in a fair result. Viva la Revolution, come on FC.

Around 500 travelling fans wasn't it?

Report This Reply

Crowd was 840, figure they were all Frickley fans then.

Frickely normally have about 200 a game it was more like 300 last night and the rest were FCUoMers

Hmmmm, al this viva la revolution nonsense seems a bit far fetched now doesent it?, wher were your big crowd following FC last night then?
My guess is they only turn up when its free to get in, so much for the revolution eh?

Dash you seem a bit of a bitter chap with a chip on his shoulder.A good visit to the couch might be do the trick to calm you down and lighten you up or is it normal for Poles to be so obsessed with non league teams from other countries they shouldn't really care about.?

Great to see non FC fans continuing to take an interest in how we're doing by posting on our threads. Keep it up chaps I love reading your educated input. It's only when you all stop i'll be really worried.;-)

Dukinfield Bitter, you lot would know all about empty seats (lol) in any case it was an night time away game not an FCUoM home game I guess that would be lost on an armchair Bertie.

Dear oh dear oh dear.
It doesent take much to get you clowns biting does it?
I was only pointing out where is your "revolution" when you only took around 40 fans to the game at Frickley.
Just like your name, it appears they are only interested when it is free to get in, eh Free Red.
As for Drifter Mancunia, all I will say is it is pointless getting involved in a battle of wits with a man with no brains, you and free red just get on with your two man revolution in your padded cell.

Kiwi Blue, YOU care! Why would you be on here other wise?

We're just curious Dukinfield Blue as to why you read & take time to comment on the threads about FC United? Surely you should be spending your time jumping up and down outside wastelands with a tea towel on your head instead? Or has the novelty worn off now eh?
