RUMOURS of Chris Baguley's departure from FC United have been greatly exaggerated, says manager Karl Marginson.

The absence of the cultured midfielder from the Rebels team for last week's FA Cup exit against Nantwich, and Saturday's goalless draw with Worksop sparked a rumour that Baguley had joined UniBond premier rivals Leigh Genesis.

But Marginson explained that, while Baguley had been unhappy at not starting in the first FA Cup game against Nantwich, he was suspended from the replay and had then taken a short break to Ibiza.

"Chris came to see me on Saturday and told me he wants to stay," said Marginson, whose side tonight face a trip to Ossett Town, tied on points with FC, just above the relegation zone.

"He will be involved at Ossett because we missed his creativity against Worksop."

Adam Carden's hamstring injury will be assessed before a team is picked but Marginson revealed he is seeking another striker.
