AARON Burns' goal was the only bright spot for struggling Northwich as they were well beaten at Burton.

Nigel Clough's Burton side went ahead inside two minutes when Aaron Webster drilled in from close range.

Michael Welch went close to equalising with a free kick for Vics, but Andy Corbett made it 2-0 after half-an-hour, smashing in Shaun Harrad's pass from 12 yards.

Former FC United striker Burns pulled one back for Northwich almost immediately, angling a shot into the corner from the edge of the box.

But Harrad restored Albion's two-goalĀ lead after the break with a shot that squirmed under Vics keeper Scott Tynan.

And Webster struck from close range in the 74th minute to seal the visitors' fate.
