STEVE Halford was sent off as bottom club Droylsden slumped to a sixth straight Blue Square Premier defeat.
The Bloods were already 3-0 down when Halford saw red for deliberate handball for pushing Steve Morison's goalbound shot over the bar in the 62nd minute.
Morison converted the resulting penalty to make it 4-0.
Stevenage had gone in front after half-an-hour when Mark Arber converted Craig Dobson's corner with a diving header.
Both players then had a role in the second goal just before half-time; Arber flicking on Dobson's corner for Callum Willock to nod in at the far post.
Daryl McMahon added a third in the 52nd minute, rounding the goalkeeper to score after running half the length of the pitch.
Morison made it four from the spot, before volleying a second from Scott Laird's cross.
