ALTRINCHAM have renewed hope of beating the drop from the Blue Square Premier despite letting a two-goal lead slip at home to York.
Colin Little came on as a first-half substitute to score twice against a visiting side who had won their last seven away matches.
It was an Alty side transformed from the one who had lost 3-1 at York in the FA Trophy last month, and the point keeps them two points clear of the relegation zone.
Little, who replaced the injured Tom Cahill after 18 minutes, gave Alty the lead four minutes before the break when he controlled a misdirected clearance on the edge of the penalty area and hit a classy left-foot shot into the bottom corner of the net.
The former Macclesfield striker doubled the lead in the 53rd minute when he headed in Ryan Toulson's free kick from close range.
York, though, dominated after that, and saved a point thanks to two goals in three minutes from Martyn Woolford.
He halved the deficit in the 63rd minute when he ran on to Emmanuel Panther's through ball to score, and then drilled in the equaliser from six yards.
