Turner, making only his second start for the Rebels senior side, saw red on the stroke of half-time when he was judged to have pulled Gareth Hamlet's shirt to deny the Lilywhites striker a scoring opportunity.
Hamlet proceeded to rub salt in FC's wound by firing Mossley in front from close-range in the 52nd minute.
And he also had a hand in their second goal 10 minutes from time, when he forced keeper Phil Priestley into conceding a penalty, confidently dispatched by Martin Allison to clinch the points for the home side.
FC battled to the finish but were unable to save themselves from their third successive league defeat, and their fourth in their last five games - a sequence they must snap out of quickly if they're to stay in the promotion hunt.
FORMER United man Dion Dublin struck twice as Norwich secured a second straight Championship win by beating Blackpool 3-1 at Bloomfield Road last night.
Dublin had given Norwich a 30th-minute lead against the run of play, before the Seasiders claimed a 38th-minute equaliser through Gary Taylor-Fletcher.
Martin Taylor, put Norwich in front with a 73rd-minute header before Dublin's second sealed it.
What is your verdict on the game? Have your say.

p.s. Bet you are on here again next week - obsessions are hard to shake off. And incidentally, I have never been on a siddy forum in my life. I'm not remotely interested. Why should I be ? To reds, whether MUFC or FCUM, you bluenoses are totally irrelevant.

An FC United match is a great day out where standing, singing and even drinking is being allowed in selected areas at a lot of the grounds we visit. There's non of that pay up, shut up, sit down, you get at OT. You’re not boxed in like sardines for some 2 x 45 minutes each match and you can get food and hot drinks whenever you want without having to push passed a row of 20 people. The stewards are genuinely helpful and basically fans can have what they want, when they want it, as much as they like. In fact in some ways the behaviour of the crowed is more akin to a Rugby match than a football match and a million miles away from the Premiership. As a result I think it's fair to say that some of our support has become too relaxed about the results. I know Karl's message has permeated the ranks though so he will not be disappointed with the level of support on Saturday. Message received and understood.
PS There is match going info further down if anyone wants it.
