George Best's sister Barbara and husband Norman will be invited to make the Fair Share Draw at half time when they will be presented with the cheque for the 'George Best Foundation'. Saturdays match v. Formby has also been designated "Youth United Day" with kids from over 400 schools, clubs and organisations across Greater Manchester invited to take part in our end of season celebrations at Gigg Lane. In celebration of our back to back championships admission to this match for U18s will be free. There will be a number of workshops free to children on the day. These include, a rap workshop, theatre workshop, banner making and face painting. The workshops will take at Holycross College, Manchester Road, Bury (located near to the Pack Horse). Workshops will take place from 12.30pm to 2.30pm enable fans and families to get to the ground in time for the 3.00pm k.o. The day is being organised in partnership with United Co-operatives, MANCAT, Smoke free Bury and Brook Manchester, who have all been encouraged by our aim of providing an affordable and entertaining day out for families and young people. The invitation to get involved in the day is open to schools, youth clubs, football teams - everyone that wants to be involved would be made more than welcome! But before all that, FC UNITED v. TRAFFORD FC. Tonight at Gigg lane, Wednesday 25th April 2007, our penultimate North Weast Counties league match. k.o. 7.45pm. The last time we played Trafford was at Altrincham's Moss lane ground in September where we won 0-1 in a very close match. It will be interesting to see how we get on against them now that this seasons FC team have had time to develop as a unit. Viva la revolution, come on FC.

Nice gesture by the'club' to donate cash to charity,but i hope that georges sister understands that FC'United' have NO,NO connections whatsoever with the famous club which her brother played and starred for.

RM. I am sure George's sister has enough knowledge of FC United to understand how and why this club was formed and the link that exists between the two United's. I am equally sure she is aware of the minority can't cope with that fact. You will be pleased to know Barbara McNally came to Gigg lane in a Northern Ireland top so I would guess she would prefer to remain the figure head of a worthy cause rather than be drawn into a load of small minded bigotry perpetuated by a minuscule minority from SEF. I cannot think of ANY links between the famous Manchester United the current premier league champions and the much lesser known semi amateur team FC united.none in fact.
