RICARDO Lopez is enjoying his loan stint with Racing Santander but still dreams of making Manchester United's number one shirt his own.

The 31-year-old goalkeeper's aim is to work hard this season for Racing and return fired-up for the last year of his contract at Old Trafford.

Ricardo said: "I am very happy here in Spain but also I was very happy in Manchester.

"I have come back to Spain because I wasn't having many first team chances with the four goalkeepers and it is better for me to play a good season here and then go back to Manchester as I need to play regular football.

"It is my dream to play in goal for Manchester United and I have one year left on my contract with them.

"I am trying to have a good season here so that I can be in good form when I return and make the most of my chance."

Sorry RICARDO, its not going to happen. Have you been watching us this season, if not, i guess you start. Have you not seen Tim Howard, you and Fabien are no longer required. Thanks for the save aginst Blackburn, but your better off in Spain.

Obviously hasn't been reading the ManchesterOnline wesite. I voiced concern at seeing United plum for Howard, thinking his MSL form was not good enough for him to compete at the highest level - but have recently received the map that shows I was not sitting on my elbow after all. Way to go Tim, you're a keeper in every sense of the word.
