DIEGO Forlan has another goal in life beside football - golf!

The Manchester United goal-den boy and his brother Paolo regularly take to the fairways at De Vere Mottram Hall and are benefiting from lesson from the club's teaching professional, Tim Maxwell.

Maxwell, who also coaches United boss Sir Alex Ferguson, said: "Diego is a delight to teach and is a terrific, friendly person to deal with. With practice and experience he will become a very useful golfer.

"He has the potential to hit the ball a long way and loves playing the testing Mottram course.

"But even if he holes a birdie putt there is no way that he will be taking his shirt off and running around the green as his course etiquette is excellent."

Diego is booked in for more lessons in the New Year and he will be looking to get a club handicap in 2003.
