The sides produced a lively match, which was more entertaining than the scoreline suggests.
Both could have won the game, but on balance it was United who enjoyed more of the activity in front of goal. Jamie Mullan, Sam Hewson, Kieran Lee and Chris Eagles all went near in the first half whilst Chinese international Dong should have found the net after break.
Substitutes Aaron Burns, for United, and Bolton's Matt Cassidy both went close late on.

Hmm... I think the game was exactly as entertaining as the scoreline suggests. Disappointed with Dong, impressed with Eagles and Kieran Lee (yet again) By the way, no sign of Smudger so I predict he'll be on the bench tomorrow- remember, you heard it here first!
Mick, i hope so. does he usually play in the reserves though? if so, how has he been doing?
Macca, I've watched Smudger play for the reserves 3 times this season, I don't think he's played any other competitive games. Unfortunately he's been, IMO, very poor each time. To make things worse, he ended up getting frustrated and doing his trade-mark crazy kung-fu tackles. On the plus side, he has got better with each game he's played and the last game was a couple of months ago so maybe he's turned the corner?
We're not going to see much of Smudger this season. He's done brilliant to be playing after his horrendous injury. possibly came back too early but so hard to judge when physically he's so strong. Hope he'll be back next season pushing Ole and Saha for First Choice back-up. English, Gives 100%, and has talent, i'm fed up of reading that we should sell him!!
