RIO Ferdinand might have the reputation as the most laid-back player at Old Trafford.
But the classy England centre half will be on his toes when United head south this weekend looking to become the first team to win at Arsenal's new Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners wrecked United's 100 per cent start to the Premiership back in September when they won 1-0 at Old Trafford.
And though the Reds have since beaten Liverpool at home, they were held to a draw by champions Chelsea in the last major title battle in November.
Now, with their title credentials on the line, the Reds want revenge in the capital.
"Arsenal controlled the game earlier in the season," said Ferdinand.
"I thought Adebayor played really well for them. I'd say he is the toughest player I've faced this season. He's certainly the player to have given us the most problems because he's got good movement and skill."
The Togo international could lose out on Sunday in favour of Arsene Wenger's current preferred partnership of the in-form Thierry Henry and Robin van Persie.
But whoever he selects, Ferdinand knows he will have to be wide awake.
Quality
"If you're complacent going into any game then you're in for a rude awakening," he said.
"You can't be like that at a club like this because there is always someone waiting to take your place. And with the quality we have here, once somebody is in, it can be very difficult to displace them."
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, too, has sounded a note of optimism for Sir Alex Ferguson's fringe players.
The Norwegian, who has made telling cameos the trademark of his United career, knows everyone will have to play their part if the Reds are to reclaim the Premiership crown.
"We have seen plenty of occasions when the full squad has been utilised," he said.
"In the Champions League in 1999 I didn't play in either the quarter-finals or the semi-finals. That shows it's a matter of being patient.
"It's all about having the players who can stand up at the right time and say `it's my turn now.' We know the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney can't win every game for us."
Do you think United will beat Arsenal? Have your say.
