Overated and way overage. If Schevchenko is too old to adapt to the pace of the Prem, what chance does a 35 year old who has hidden at Celtic scoring against pub teams for most of his career have?

I think the name Man Utd was the only thing missing from his great VC. But the fact is that Feggies plans are becoming to obvious to us and i`m happy cos now he will have more money to buy the much needed Harggrives.

Seasoned observers will immediately sit up and take notice of this move. You can bet this news has caused flutters of concern at Stamford Bridge, and we are hearing of a bulk order of toilet paper to be delivered to The Emirates Stadium.
A highly intelligent player in the same mould as Bergkamp - not blessed with dangerous pace but his reading of the game is superb. Its not just his striking ability which will benefit United, but young players like Rooney and Ronaldo will benefit hugely in their footballing education playing next to him.
A masterstroke and a massive, massive signing which may well prove to be one of the greatest ever.
Can't wait!

Kaled, for your information, $hevvy isnt too old, he just cant make the grade. if Cheal$ki signed good old Sheringham you would probly wet yourself laughing saying the same thing... but the difference is sheringham has heart, he has the will, he has the need. Whoever signs for Cheal$ki only have the need for money its sad to say bcos some of their players i really admire as class footballers.
This Larsson signing is not a cheap ploy, you must not have seen him play, he is pure talent and pure heart.

I am happy and sad at the same time about this news. Happy because Henrik Larsson is a guaranteed success wherever he's played. But sad because I'm so sure that he's going to be a hit that it's going to be a wrench to see him leave on March 12. A ten week loan is too short in my opinion. Hopefully SAF will convince Helsingborg to extend the loan up to the end of our season, obviously with adequate compensation being paid. If that happens, then yes, we may just look back next summer and take our hats off to the great man (SAF). Again!

Khaled,, proven wrong for the first time? I dunno, it wasnt me who predicted we d lose to Everton 1-0.. Just stick to milking the goats all right?

Khaled Mahmood, take it you didn't read artiucle if born Sept 1971 is 34 not 35. Is also natural goalscorer, something that Sheva isn't, also SPL not 100 miles away from physicalness of EPL, which is what most players struggle to adapt to. He'll do a superb job for us then go home, then in the Summer Sir Alex will go for his priority target who sin't available now. I suppose you'd prefer 10 million on Defoe jyst to fill a gap???

bobbydazzler, nice to see you in optimistic mood mate. I think this news seems to have cheered up nearly everyone, except for khalid. He's still probably grieving over his goat.

don't compare Schevchenko with Larsson...The former never proved himself in british football b4 joining chelski for over 30 million pounds whilst the latter has proved a big big hit with celtic and is joining on loan...remember the impact Sheringham made with he joined man utd despite being over 30?well i see the same happening with Larsson. One thing is sure...this guy is real class!
