MANCHESTER United have been drawn against Celtic, Benfica and FC Copenhagen in the Champions League.
The Group F draw sees Sir Alex Ferguson come up against his former player and now Celtic boss Gordon Strachan. It will be the first time the two teams have faced each other in competition.
The draw also gives United the chance to gain revenge on Benfica, who beat the Reds in last season's group stages.
Chelsea have been drawn in Group A with Barcelona, Werder Bremen and Levski Sofia. Liverpool take on PSV Eindhoven, Bordeaux and Galatasaray in Group C, while Arsenal are in Group G with Porto, CSKA Moscow and Hamburg.
Draw:
Group A: Barcelona, Chelsea, Werder Bremen, Levski Sofia
Group B: Inter Milan, Bayern Munich, Sporting Lisbon, Spartak Moscow
Group C: Liverpool, PSV Eindhoven, Bordeaux, Galatasaray
Group D: Valencia, Roma, Olympiakos, Shakhtar Donetsk
Group E: Real Madrid, Lyon, Steaua Bucharest, Dynamo Kiev
Group F: Manchester United, Celtic, Benfica, FC Copenhagen
Group G: Arsenal, Porto, CSKA Moscow, Hamburg
Group H: AC Milan, Lille, AEK Athens, Anderlecht
What is your verdict on the draw? Have your say.

I reckon thats a pretty good draw for us. Laughing at Chelsea though! The Scousers will love Galatasaray, for sure.
Tough one - out of the teams in the third pool, I would have liked to have avoided Benfica. It won't be hard to improve on our dismal perfromances last year though! Also, watching Barca embarass chelski again is not a bad draw - pity it's not in the knock out.
I've never met him, and that's lucky for him, The futures not orange, the future is grim, The future is franchise, the future is spin, The future is failure, I'm not fitting in.
The future is customer, client not fan,The future is sit down or else you'll be banned, The future is price rise, again and again, Draining my pocket and testing my brain.
The future is howdy, have a nice day, The futures the mega store, trippers this way, The future is selling before we can buy, The future is Malcolm and bleeding us dry.
The futures the Glazers or so I've been told, An executive seat and a ticket of gold,
Prawn sandwiches, oysters, a nice drop of wine, To keep the working class standing in line.
Well that futures a fable a tissue of lies, The fight isn't over and I'll tell you why, The people the length and the breadth of this land, Who follow united, WILL make a stand.
We will not be pushed out, bullied or sold, We won't quit or be bought by a fool and his gold, We have heart, desire, passion and pride, A love for United we don't try to hide.
Did you think we'd roll over and lie on our back? Do as you tell us, and never fight back?
This is our club, our history our love and our pride, Something your dollars can never divide.
We won't buy your merchandise, programmes or beer, We won't line your pockets with replica gear, We won't give up fighting, of that there's no danger, As we all know we LOVE UNITED HATE GLAZER.
Man U look treemendoos this season so far - Will be a toughy for us.
Here's hoping for a bit of luck for us, and a couple of great games
A relatively easy draw. Must keep it tight away this time. Make it work, make us proud. Come on reds.
Dont care who we draw. Get us tevez and owen H and we will dominate the european football for the next 5 years. Eat your money Abrahamovich cos you will never become us
Best possible scenario. Not much to travel aswell!
hoohoooo!!!!!
Can't complain, not the hardest but not the easiest either.
Hilarious about the chavs getting drawn with Barca, Morinho will be crying for days.
If we can't qualify from this group then I will have to leave the country. So long as we don't have a long injury list we should qualify from this group comfortably and as top placed team. Unless, that is, FIFA decide that because Rooney and Scholes have been banned by the FA for 3 more matches after being sent off in a friendly competition, then it is only fair that FIFA ban them from for 4 matches in the champions league. Not that I'm paranoid...
Great draw couldn't have wished for better. Hope the players don't sit back and think it's gonna be easy like last season. And sweet revenge awaiting against Benfica :o)
I know we all said this last year, but surely to god we can progress easily out of this group. Great draw for us, at least on paper.
Great draw.
Nice chance for revange against Benifica...MU forever...
AS a MAN UTD fan, i'm very confident that we will qualify from this group (i always fancy UTD against teams who too like to play attacking football), oh and Liverpool should come through ok, but i bet mourinho wasn't too pleased with his group, HA-HA thank god money doesn't buy you a easy passage (or does it?).
not a bad draw. no disrespect to Celtic but with the form they are carrying into this year from their preseason they are one of the easier second seeds to draw (others were of the likes of Roma and Lyon). The team of worry may be Benfica again. They look like a team on the up. Nonetheless we should be quite confident and this means that perhaps bringing in a central midfielder is not as necessary right now. We can wait until January when Mascherano should become available. No doubt the team is looking good right now but Fergie has been clear in his market strategy - we need a CM battler.
IF WE'VE GOT A FULLY FIT SQUAD AND ARE IN THE SAME FORM WE SHOULD TAKE MAXIMUM POINTS FROM THIS GROUP,IT'S NEVER EASY TO YOUR GROUP BUT THIS ONE IS THE BETTER OF THE BUNCH.ROONEY,RONALDO AND CO NEED TO GIVE 110% ALL SEASON.
What a great draw chelsea v barca again arsnel v porto is a great tie liverpool v psveindhoven, and to top it all we get benfica (revenge will be sweet) and celtic (keano won't feel sorry for you this time boys he's a sunderland man now)
Easy draw IMO. No sentiment to Celtic it's business & I'm sure Alex agrees so let's kick ass & win through. Then sign Mascherano & Teves in January & win the CL. Glazers it's in your interests come on do it & also keep contact with Lippi!
Not a difficult group, lets be honest. We should finish top of it. Two great british fixtures will be the highlights, can't wait for those.
Should be stroll in a park. Our kids destroyed them earlier...Im looking forward to demolishing Benfica. I bet Ronaldo got something to prove to them a ne' eh?
Think we got one of the best groups aside from Milan, how the hell did they manage that? What's the word for 'corrupt' in Italian? Anyway, brilliant to play Celtic in Europe. Like a lot of Mancs, I've got an Irish background so that affinity with Celtic has always been about, hope us leathering them home and away will not sour our good relations we have the club and the fans, and it's a shame Keano wasn't playing, I bet he's gutted he's missed out.
Little is known of FC Copenhagen, but I remember going to Denmark in 1998-99 season and beating Brondby 6-2 away and 5-0 at home, but then again ot much was made of Villareal or Lille last season, were they?
Chance to grab revenge over Benfica as well due to our poor performances against them last season, I bet Ronaldo will relish playing against them again.
If Manu can't get thru of this group (F) and finish top of the group....they should hang themselves!!!!
We should consider lucky this season because beside Benfica...Celtic and Copenhagen shouldn't be any problem for Manu.
We should kill them off as early as possible....pay attention on EPL....Chelsea should facing more problem than us, they need to face Barca & W.Bremen....not an easy group.
not an easy task...
i am really excited we can easily beat both celtic and fc copenhagen home and away and we will be up for revenge agnst benfica we can beat them too i just hope we top our group and who knows we could win all 6 games and rule the group.GRT TO SEE CHELSEA VS BARCELONA THEY WILL GET SCREWED 3-0,THIS SEASON HAS REALLY GOT ON FANTASTICALLY WELL GOOD GROUP IN CL GOOD START IN PREMIERSHIP OUR RIVALS SLIPPING UP IN THE WEEKEND AND TEAM MORALE ON TOP .OUR MORALE AND CONFIDENCE COULD PLAY A KEY PART IF WE NEED TO CONQUER EUROPE UNLIKE LAST SEASON WE WERE NOT PLAYING WITH PASSION IN EUROPE ,THIS SEASON THINGS SHALL CHANGE.
GLORY!GLORY! MAN UNITED.
