EX-United winger Danny Wallace will kick off a tournament at Bacup Borough on Sunday May 21 to honour the worldés oldest ever sporting physio Syd Parkinson MBE.
Wallace, who suffers from MS but recently completed the London Marathon, will start the charity event that will star see the likes of United old boy and Century Radio commentator Mickey Thomas, David Eyres (recently released by Oldham), Andy Dibble (ex-City), Chris Casper (Bury manager) and ex-Bolton player Tony Philiskirk compete at the Brian Boys Stadium West View Bacup.
Admission is é5. Gates open 12.30pm.
Parkinson is now 92 and is still working voluntarily for Barnoldswick Town each week but was recently hospitalised when a chip pan fire wrecked his house.
