Manchester United have released young American striker Kenny Cooper.

The 21-year-old arrived at Old Trafford in 2003 but despite featuring regularly for the Red Devils reserve side, failed to make a senior appearance for United.

Cooper becomes the third player to leave United this month, following the departures of midfielder David Fox and Finnish forward Jami Puustinen.

Malcombe, Cooper aked to be released with 6 months left on his contract with Man Utd. He was offered a multiyear deal by FC Dallas also other teams in England. He chose to leave himself. The lad scored a buch of goals for the Reserves, he was not going to get the break thru he was looking for with the strikers Unt have so he made ac career move to go with the MLS. I THINK COOPER WILL TELL YOU, UNT IS A FANTASTIC CLUB, AND THAT HE WAS SO GRATEFUL FOR THE OPPORTNITY HE WAS GIVEN.hOW MANY KIDS ASK u

Kenny asked United for his release with 6 months to go on his contract. {perhaps unheard of that a youngster would do this }He had recieved a bunch of offers in the January window but decided to go to the MLS as he was offered a multiyear deal by FC Dallas. I BELIEVE THAT KENNY WOULD TELL YOU THAT MAN UTD IS A FANTASTIC CLUB, AND THAT HE LOVED EVERY MINUTE.
