Many Manchester United fans, opposed to Malcolm Glazer's takeover at Old Trafford, are refusing to renew their season tickets.
Instead they are intending to form a breakaway non-League club with the Willows one of the venues mooted as their base.
However, Salford state they have no interest in pursuing a relationship with FC United.
The rugby league club are forging ahead with plans to build a new stadium facility at Barton, and in the meantime concentrating all efforts on enhancing their engage Super League status.
Chief executive David Tarry added: "We have no intention of entering into discussions with other sports clubs." Tweet

How can FC United claim to be representing their fans when they want to play in Salford? How about approaching Wimbledon FC?
How about sharing with Shelbourne in Dublin where you will find the highest concentration of Man U consumers in the world.
They could play @ White Hart Lane if Spurs move to Wemberly!
WE'L NEVER DIE
WE'L NEVER DIE
WE'L NEVER DIE
WE'L NEVER DIE
WE'L KEEP THE RED FLAG FLYING HIGH
MAN UTD WILL NEVER DIE!
I'm looking forward to setting up FC United. It'l make a change from keep winning everything. Just wait and see when these other fans see us flying up the leagues with our real fans still together. They'l all be breaking away.
Do FC United need a "stadium" to play in the Combined Counties League (level 8) with the likes of FC Wimbledon?
Why not just support Altricham ?
They have reasonable facilities and are already in the conference (also based in Trafford). A real football team for real supporters! With the funding and patronage of United supporters they could be in the premiership in 6 years, to be realistic. Ownership of the club could allow for a name change, but obviously that would have to be sensitively approached regarding existing supporters. It's a shame Maine Road has been pulled down, as it could have been bought for peanuts and would have had facilities and capacity for the foreseeable future, and would have provided a Manchester address.
Why play in Manchester?
After all there are more Man U fans elsewhere in the country. Why not share with a non-league team close to London so more people get to see them?
Stevenage would be a good place. There's a massive Man U following there.
If there are so many utd fans in London, why do they not support Arsenal or Chelsea. You obviously still know that utd are better than any team in London. You will also be pleased to learn that more people in Manchester support Utd than City and FC United will attract bigger crowds than City whatever league they are in.
PS. Concentrate on your own club
We won't support Altrincham because unlike most "local fans" who seem to get bigger attendances the further up the league they are, Utd fans do not change teams. Most people from Altrincham are Utd fans anyway because supporting Utd is about history passing on through the generations.
Why not groundshare with Stockport, out number City 5-1 despite the rag peddled myth!
