Rumour mill: Reds linked with Racing winger

DESPITE Diego Forlan failing to set Old Trafford alight, Manchester United are mulling over a move for another Uruguayan star, claims a report.

The name in the frame is left-winger Mario Regueiro, and, according to Skysports.com, Fergie's brother Martin was despatched to catch the Racing Santander star in action against Espanyol last Sunday.

Obviously, the match would have had the added appeal of seeing the Uruguayan pitted against another rumoured Reds target, Carlos Kameni, in the Espanyol goal.

Sadly, the winger failed to impress in the match and was substituted, although his 8 Primera Liga goals this season has sparked interest from other clubs.

"All my future depends on my work in the next few weeks," Regueiro told skysports.com.

"My desire is to get success with Racing."

This story is probably just a rumour but I'll chip in with my two cents anyhoo. When are they going to learn? South Americans don't adapt well to English football, nor the English climate, nor the English way of life. Buying an untested South American for big-bucks is a huge gamble. Remember Kleberson and Forlan? Nope, neither does anyone else.

Edu as replacement for Djemba2 (after all he is free)- not the best but at least has performed in Premiership
Stick with Howard for the moment. Last but not least, look out for a left winger to replace Giggs in the near future

Mike Hienze seems to have adapted very well,you have to have the talent and the right attitude from the start,saying that at the moment Lampard seems the one just shows what a good coach can get from a player.

Oops! Mary, you're right. I forgot about Heinze. That said, Gabriel has been playing in Europe for many years now, most recently in France, so it's not been as hard for him as it was for Kleberson and Forlan, who came straight from Brazil and Uruguay, respectively. You're right - if they're good enough, their ability should see them through.
