Liverpool striker Luis Suarez is set to face United for the first time since being banned for eight matches for racially abusing Patrice Evra.
The Uruguay international looked sharp on his comeback in a 24-minute substitute appearance in the goalless draw at home to Tottenham on Monday.
Left-back Jose Enrique missed that match with a hamstring problem but is expected to be fit enough to return.

Our performance levels are on the up, yet we are being hindered by conceding sloppy goals. Whilst de Gea is the obvious target, especially following the cup game against Liverpool, he was not at fault for any of the Chelsea goals last week, with Rio and especially Evra the culprits. Indeed Evra has been defensively poor for some time now, and is only surviving because of his attacking game, and the fact that he has no consistent challenger. If he can tighten up his defensive game, and we can field a strong team, then I back us to beat any domestic opponent home or away. de Gea's save from Mata was quite magnificent, and I fervently hope it proves to be the springboard he needs to show us just what a talent he is.
Tomorrow we need to see Rooney continue in the form he showed last week, when he was exceptional, and showed just what he can bring to our team. Indeed his form more than any other player can decide the title race, as he is quite unstoppable when on the top of his game. The return of Scholes is beginning to look like another of SAF's masterstrokes. He was quite brilliant last week, completely dictating the midfield in his owm inimitable style. SAF's post match comments on Hernandez were extremely interesting, clearly suggesting he will start tomorrow. This could prove to be another key time of our season, as I got the feeling that Hernandez was rediscovering much of his verve in his cameo role last week, which posed Chelsea numerous problems. His movement for his goal was pure Hernandez, and demonstrated what a deadly threat he remains. If we can see that for the remainder of the season we will take some stopping. Indeed, with injured players, and Evans looking more and more like the kid who looked a class act a couple of seasons back, things are looking very positive.
Tomorrow, whilst I'm going with 2-0 or 3-1, I would not be at all surprised if we handed them a well overdue hammering!

Tough match for united
The result will rest on whether we continue to give away sloppy goals... don't think I can cope with seeing another average player waltz past Evra and into the box...!! May well be a case of us scoring more than they do.
Don't think Cleverley's managed a reserve game yet so I sincerely hope he's not rushed back... that first whack on the ankle will be tester for him i guess.
I think we'll nick it 2-1... and wouldn't be surprised to see Suarez get theirs...!
We should win this one. It's not a question of if but by how many?
suarez, bellamy and enrique apart they are a team full of chuggers. keep possession well , and we should have far too much movement for their static central players. only real threat is down their left on the break and their wimbeldon style hoofs.need evra and whoevers at rightback to concentrate tommorow.
We should play the lads Evans and Smalling at the back with Scholes and Carrick in the centre, bringing on Cleverley in the last 20 for Scholesy.
We were led to believe that Tom Cleverley would make his comeback in the MSC game yesterday against City's reserves and, since this was 'behind closed doors' at Carrington, it would surely have been an ideal opportunity for Tom to get some match practice. The fact that he ddin't feature at all leads me to believe that his 'return' tomorrow is another red herring from SAF - I personally will believe it when I see it. Tom's contribution at the start of the season was considerable and it would be great to have him available for the run in.
Paul S, I always enjoy reading your posts, sensible stuff. It's good to read some praise for Jonny Evans, because too many on here have been really harsh on the lad. Some people seem to forget that apart from a few exceptional individuals, most young footballers have to develop. Luckily, our great manager knows that perfectly well and so, I feel sure that many people slating de gea will have to eat their words in the future. In the meantime, he may well cost us some points, goalkeepers are so vital, but let's hope he goes from strength to strength. I share your feeling about Hernandez and of course, it's quite possible to play Rooney, Hernandez and Welbeck, because the latter is very versatile and can play out wide, while still creating problems for the opposition defence.

Good to see Cleverley back, he was superb before his injury. Hope it has'nt affected his form.Liverpool will always be a challenge but it could be a good time to give them a good hiding and send a clear message to the bitters.
keep the back four the same, put smalling and cleverley in the middle in place of giggs and carrick . bring POGBA on at half time. we will run them ragged.
