Inter Milan coach comments give Manchester United hope over Wesley Sneijder

Gian Piero Gasperini
Inter Milan coach Gian Piero Gasperini has admitted Manchester United target Wesley Sneijder's future is still up in the air.

The Holland midfielder, who is under contract at the San Siro until June 2015, has been strongly linked with a move to United and Chelsea.

"I have no doubt that Sneijder is a great player," Gasperini said at his first press conference as Inter coach.

"It's difficult to know what can happen in the next 50 days of the transfer market.

"Inter want to become even stronger.

"Two years ago (Zlatan) Ibrahimovic left the club but the team was strengthened and became even stronger.

"Wesley's situation does not worry me.

"In recent years, Inter have made fewer mistakes in the transfer market than other clubs and have made the best choices. Hence, I can only be optimistic."

Do you think United will land Sneijder? Have your say.

I dont think Mrs Schneider wants to move from Milan to Manchester, and comments by Mr Tevez about Manchester wont help either club recruit. Sadly times have changed and modern day players dont decide their next move on purely football grounds

I really hope we can get him.
He's a magnificent player and a workhorse with the right attitude..
His vision of the game is second to none and he scores goals..
Bring him on....!

Personally, don't think we need him. He is 27 years and lacks pace which is crucial if one wants to play in EPL or United way. He will become winded by the 50th minutes. Will be expensive and he will have no resale value. We will be in the same scenario as Berbatov. Sure enough, I will give it to him for being creative though. Fickle fans will start saying that he is too slow but creative. Do SAF wants to spent more than 30 mil on such players or any player for that matter? I think not. I think SAF was wised up since Berbatov's signing. So I don't see this signing ever happening.

IF THIS SIGNING HAPPENS, I WILL TRAVEL TO MANCHESTER NAKED..... I MEAN BUTT NAKED (This travel will involve international flight). Boy, I don't think I will even make it to the airport naked, but I sure would try if SAF signs Sneidjer. That's how confident that I am that he will not be signed by United. [oh boy. what have I gotten myself into with this bet. LOL]

I cant see Schneider moving here because it would of been done and dusted already if he had of been keen. I can see a surprise happening in the transfer market. Someone who hasnt been mentioned yet. Hernandez wasnt on the radar last year, so I expect Fergie will pull another rabbit out of the hat, for centre midfield. Wouldnt surprise me if we sold someone who hasnt been mentioned yet also. Maybe Fletcher or Carrick will move on, as well as Gibson Brown and O'Shea

No let him stay at IM - imo Nasri would be a far better fit at OT.

To get Sneijder you need min 35 mln for his transfer & he wants a 200.000+ a week..
PLease United, don't do it!!! Taking the new UEFA financial fairplay agreement this transfer would be a disaster, that means United have to scrap a few players of the clubbooks and not replacing them so the salary books looks in balance. Sorry for Sneijder but having a big team to rotate is more importent for winnin the league than one player....

A truely world class player. Would he be good enough to oust the best midfielders we've ever had, Gibson, Anderson or Carrick though???????
