ONLY a brilliant display by Macclesfield Town goalkeeper Tim Deasy prevented Manchester United Reserves winning by more than the final 3-1 margin in a Pontin's Holiday League game at the Moss Rose yesterday.

Jassim Fayadh gave Macc the lead in the seventh minute but United grabbed the lead before half-time through Mads Timm and David Jones.
