No sooner had Portsmouth been defeated 5-0 at Old Trafford than the defender was looking ahead - to April 3 and a home match with title rivals Chelsea.
United are on a roll, winning six of their last seven league games and drawing the other. It is little wonder they are quietly confident of securing an unprecedented fourth successive crown.
Neville said: "It is in our hands now and it has not been like that for a while.
"Chelsea have to come here - and that is where we want to be. We want to win our home games."
It is no coincidence that while United are gaining momentum Wayne Rooney is having a purple patch.
The England striker scored his 23rd goal of the season, equalling a career best, when he made the breakthrough in the 40th minute following a cross from Darren Fletcher.
Neville is keen for his team-mate to maintain that form, especially as they are about to lock horns with David Beckham's AC Milan in the Champions League.
He said: "Wayne was in the right position at the right time after a great ball by Fletcher. He is a having a great season and and is a fantastic player for us.
"I hope Wayne continues like this until the end of the season because we are going to need him. The most important thing is he is scoring vital goals."
Full-back Patrice Evra added: "Wayne understands what the team needs. He is more mature. He is a world-class player, who is so dangerous in the box."
After Rooney opened the scoring United added a second on the stroke of half-time. Nani's close-range effort took a deflection first off Anthony Vanden Borre and then goalkeeper David James.
James was again cursing his luck in the 58th minute as Michael Carrick's drive cannoned off Richard Hughes and left him stranded.
United maintained the momentum and made it 4-0 on the hour with Dimitar Berbatov regaining possession and sending a low shot into the corner after Portsmouth failed to close him down.
The scoring was complete nine minutes later when Marc Wilson turned Evra's cross into his own net.
Neville said: "To get that goal before half-time was huge. Once we got it, Portsmouth found it very difficult. It deflated them.
"Nani and Antonio (Valencia) were a real threat every time they got down the wings.
"Nani is now making the right decisions. It is so difficult to stay with a player like him as he is so quick. He can go either way. He is coming on in leaps and bounds."

Ahhh......the ignorance oozes in another babbling account fron none other than Siggy Freud. I have met Mr Neville and shared some happy and what might be to some persons around, surprisingly intelligent conversations. Contrary to some taboid drivel, he is a fine young man with great principles. Unfortunately, he also allows his passion for United to get the better of him at times. None the less my Fraudian friend, Gary is a credit to his family and his profession.
There's a dummy here alright....any guesses?

Well he uses the words 'we' and 'our' Bertie because he still plays for United, what words were you expecting to come out of his trap, Bobby Charlton refers to United as 'us' but i've not seen Sir Bob in his boots lately, when you have played at OT for the length of time that GN has, been as successful as he has and can quite genuinely regard himself as a United legend then frankly i'd say he can refer to United as 'we' for the rest of his living days. Just remember that GN has more medals on his mantlepiece than you lot have ever won and if he had the misfortune of playing for the Berties then he would be regarded along Bell as your greatest ever player, and before any Berties post to say otherwise then make sure you can justify it, fifteen major honours, PFA team of the year on five occasions (last one just 3 years ago), over 80 international caps and almost 600 appearances for United, picked regularly by Sven, Venables and of course the Wizard will rubber stamp how good he's been, if he was'nt that good how come he's been part of the best defences that the english premier league has produced in the last 20 years? Wouldnt the Wizard have looked at a replacement? I can't ever remember the Wizard touting for another right-back during GN's career, obviously he has too now as GN's getting on.
As for wishing us 'good luck' in our quest for 'Four in a row', don't bother Bertie, we need Siddy luck like eggs need salmonella, keep your luck for your pathetic project, also how on earth can Manchester ever be the capital of football when you lot say we're not from there? Make your minds up.

Although I am not a big fan of neville, but as reminder, he got in his cabinet european champions league medals and several premierleague medals inside. Not to mention, several "tiny" medals such as league cup or fa cup.
Btw, im just wondering, do you(bitters) by any chance having somebody with that kind of profile in your team?
Hmmm, never mind, dont answer it, u did not win anything for 34 years. So, there is hardly anybody you can suggest to answer my question. Even you dont have a person like "The ventriloquist dummy" neville to suggest.
Cheers
