i'm not agree with evans ratings, portsmouth is a poor attacking squad and 8 is too much....diouf missed a great chance.. owen was a great player, now is an old man on a pitch, useless. valencia must use left feet, otherwise is and will be only a decent player, he missed an incredible chance. Further-more he is a right wing and history of MU is based on great right wing

I totally agree with the MEN comment about Nani and for that reason, I feel he must start on the right. The quality of ball he delivers from the right is far, far superior to what Valencia achieves and he puts fear into defenders who find it easier to blunt the Valencia threat.

Like so many others, I'd like to see Valencia given a couple of games in a more central role, he quick, strong and willing to work, so my comments are not aimed at knocking Valencia, I'd just like to see players given the best opportunity to produce their best performances, by being played in the right positions.

Does anyone with half a brain proof read these articles prior to going to print? Diouf was an unused sub but also managed to replace Rooney on 66 minutes . . .

Nani on the left - could,nt believe it. Back to square one - just when I thought we had cracked it. Is this Fergie's way of saying his recent good form had nothing to do with which flank he played on and that consequently his poor form on the left had nothing to do with him selecting him there?
Nani and Valencia can share the right wing as far as I'm concerned - there will always be injuries and they can also be rotated.
Alternatively, try Valencia somewhere else.

All our players looked on top of their game, Portsmouth not much of a threat but who's surprised when they sold all their good players. If Fletcher plays like that against Milan we'll destroy them. Lovely finish by ex NY Red Bull, Jozy Altidore, to help destroy City. Give all Hull players an 8.

i pretty much agree with all the ratings expecially nani. he played quite well, and didnt do much wrong. fergie probably knows he is far more dangerous on the right wing but because he can play on the left valencia (who hasnt done anything wrong really) can play aswell. i would however like to see valencia play in a midfield 3. good game from berbatov aswell. well taken goal after awfull miss, and the flick to put valencia through on goal was class.

Reasonable ratings MEN. Would swap Evans and Brown's scores. Brown got one studs up tackle for which the player got a yellow card and hardly even flinched. And Evra should always get an 8. Always. Fletcher was on this occasion man of the match for me. His energy, movement and passing were just what was needed to make the team tick and great cross for the Rooney goal.

Liking the look of Diouf but after giving alien head the kiss of death I'm going not going to go over the top about it. I felt his movement was responsible for the fifth goal even though he missed another opportunity - to be honest I have seen Owen make more glaring misses.

Antoine de Caunes-7- Expertly left the catwalk urgently at one point but was soon back parading for "my leettle Breetish chums".

Why so few posts after a 5-0 win? Is it because the postings have been overwhelmed by the Glazer ownership monologue (mentioning no names) and we have lost the will to live (or indeed post)?

Duncan, possibly it's partly for the reason you mention but I'd guess it's also because the result was expected, perhaps even the size of it taken for granted. Besides, with rare exceptions, we only really get a lot of comments on bad news stories. A draw will probably get twice as many comments as a win but you're talking triple figures on multiple threads for a defeat.
