The Reds chief will watch today's game against Portsmouth and Tuesday night's Carling Cup clash with Tottenham from the stands following his outburst against referee Alan Wiley.
But Fletcher says Ferguson's lieutenants on the sidelines are more than capable of guiding the side.
"Obviously the manager is a massive presence on the sidelines but we have plenty of experience in (coaches) Mick Phelan and Rene Meulensteen," said the Scottish midfielder.
"I am sure he (Ferguson) will be in constant contact with them.
"In an ideal world we would have him there but unfortunately that is not the case.
"We cannot let that affect us. We just have to focus on getting the result."
Ferguson says his only concern is being heard at the notoriously noisy Fratton Park.
“All the lines of communication are in place but the problem you have got is that Fratton Park is such a noisy place,” Ferguson said.
“The directors' box is towards the home end where all the noise comes from. It is a good racket for sure. It is a terrific football stadium.”

better dead than Red, What's the ticking I can hear? what Sir Alex means is it's a good old fashioned stadium that creates a good atmosphere. He doesnt mean it got al the mod cons. At least little old Pompy own there stadium, unlike the mighty City!!!
A Manc and blue, The capacity for the ground is just over 20,000. What ever tickets United get they will sell. Is it wrong to watch a game on the tv at home or in the pub?

The Irish mob will fly in along with the Maltese and the Cypriots.
Yes there will be a full turnout on parade, the only ones missing will be the Trafford and Salford Rags.
As usual they will be in their usual watering holes.

Tosic and 7 million for Krancic of CSKA this lad would light up the EPL.
Carrick and 5 million for Modric he could be our new Scholes everybody thought he was to light for this league but has proven a hit only thing id worry about is Spurs seem to screw us for money ie Berbatov and Carrick.
And my final option Nani and 10 million for Silva Valencia tight for money and it might suite both clubs.Any of these deals would benifit our team if you dont agree let me know why not?
