Foster: Will probably be disappointed that the late dip beat him for the Turk's goal 6

Neville: Clearly annoyed with himself at times for over-hitting his service and putting Reds in trouble defensively on occasions 5

Evra mom from his 15min cameo, oberton did ok along with nev,brown and vidic the rest were awful.

The whole lot deserve nothing (Foster exempt)...we were awful, really really awful!!! Im disgusted, because i harp on and on about the kids we have coming through and then they produce tripe like that...disgusted and hurt!!!

George Best RIP!!! 4 years today, the legend would turn in his grave after watching that tonight...pathetic and not good enough for this great club!!!

Most disappointing for me was Anderson he was mostly shocking sadly as was Gibson. I thought the 2 lads up front did well & apparently Owen came on later though I dont remember him doing much ditto Carrick. Obertan shows lots of potential & I've seen the clips of him but none of them result in goals so he is in no way any replacement for Ronaldo. This was built as a showcase for reserves to show their talent. Methinks it's only proved we need some new top players to replace Ronaldo.

Neville 4-This match was supposed to be a kids party!Not an old man's ballet!

Vidic 5-Not his commanding self.

Rafael 4-Too much excitement at times instead of staying calm and composed. What has he been learning from Rio??

Obertan 6-Clearly he does NOT excite me as some of the other MU fans! I prefer to have less talented winger (like Valencia) who can score goals and make my team win rather than showcasing his monkey tricks and being on the losing side!!! Another Nani in the making. Just remark the resemblance: The same much-expected jaw-dropping talent as during Nani's first season, same useless step overs, same shooting ability!!

Anderson 3-Poor! Very poor!!

Gibson 4-Mixed stuff. But clearly not MU material! You got to be joking.

Park 2-Enough said!!!

Macheda 6-Not bad. I think he is miles better than Owen. More appearances from him is welcomed.

Welbeck 3-Dong returns! (someone still remember the Chinese striker who never scored?)

Oberton may come good playing with better players. All the other kids im not sure about. When you look at Arsenals kids to ours theres a bit of a difference. Some of our kids cost a fair whack as well, Anderson and Nani to name 2. Nevilles days are surely over. Carrick, Owen, Park, Foster, Vidic steadily getting worse. Only Evra looked like he should wear the Utd shirt on that performance, yet the first 15 mins we looked like we were gonna slaughter them. Something wrong in the Utd setup that theres no real quality coming through from the reserves. They look great in reserve games, but dont come up to scratch at senior level. Maybe King Eikrem Norwood DeLaet etc ought to be given a go.

Not worth the effort to score really. SAF ?. Macheda is about the only one that shows that in a good team with decent service he will score. Anderson was rubbish. Thihs was another great chance for the peripherals to grab some limelight against a very poor team, and ..... nothing!

Just watched the match and thought what else could anyone expect from a
terribly young team. Men always beat the boys. Sill, Obertan's busy
night was encouraging and all our lads played decently, good experience for them but at the expense of not going top of the group,,,Sir?

We played 6 kids not counting Foster so what can we expect against a full strength CL team. Of the seniors, Nev is too senior. Young Gibson should have had a more experienced partner. I see no future for Macheda and Wellbeck should be loaned out. Park get rid so lets stop blooding so many kids at once. Obertan the one bright light on a gloomy night.

@ Zizi - Get a grip. Your sense of reality is in danger of sliding beneath a morass of hyperbolic tripe! You'd rather a goal scoring winger like Valencia? Until very recently EVERYONE was on the Ecuadorian's case about NOT being able to score at all - all he's manages since then is a couple of goals, though he's finally playing with a great deal more composure in the goal square.

As for Obertan being in the Nani-mold, nothing could be further from the truth. The kid displays all the maturity and correct decision making so utterly lacking in Nani, who's ability to make the wrong choices has almost been turned into an art form. If you had removed your blindfold during the game you'd have noticed how often Obertan beat his markers, how readily he found players in open space with his passing, and how intelligently he applied his considerable skills. That he was United's best player says a considerable amount for his talent and his intelligence, given that he's only recently come back from injury and was playing his very first game for the first team as a starter. His only flaw on the day was an inability on a couple of occasions to make better use of a couple of breaks, but that's hardly surprising given the stage he was on and the fact he's had so little playing time since coming back from injury. Nani's days are now surely numbered as a result.

Anderson, Park, Neville, Vidic were supposedly the anchors and each had a miserable game; 3 for each, not at all what you need from a first team player in this circumstance. Don't like that we signed up Park for a few more years this summer.

Obertan was ok, but I too fail to understand the excitement some are gushing over him. Often has nice touches and places a dangerous ball to a teammate occasionally but doesn't deliver that crucial final ball. Plus his work rate is poor and on many occasions was a defensive liability. Not too different from Nani in the beginning in all honesty except Nani actually had and has a higher work rate. 5 if you hate ineffectual stepovers, 7 if you can't get enough of them.

Macheda did well. Has all the physical tools to succeed. I don't get how he doesn't get played in front of Owen with the first team. 6.

Foster-4, not much to do but what he needed to do he failed at.

Gibson-4, shoot much? Welbeck and Macheda are dying for service and you're lofting it into the Atlantic.

Welbeck-5, still got time.

Rafeal-5, off night, but deserves a pass, he has impressed on many other occasions.

Owen, Carrick--no change when they came on-5
Evra- drew the penalty that should have brought us level-7.

The next game can not come soon enough to knock this debacle from my memory.

Gary N, Scholes and John Oshea must be drop from the team. They are not only old but useless and lack of pace and ideas. Their slow anticipations which is advantage to the opponent strikers.Most of the time MU loose or draw whenever they are involved.

We have to buy some new strikers,it is clerley that we only have berba and rooney to depend on, rafa and fabio and our others wing defenders are never going to be the attacking force Evra is and it's not good enough if we are going to be the best team in the world.
Obertan was promising and the only one on the pitch who had 1. team manu standard
Anderson was not good, he is to much on and off,he have the skills but he seems to have motivation problems!?

What about the ref? How on earth could he not give Evra a penalty? Second CL-game in short time where refs don't give United penalties in situations that's crystal clear. Sir Alex fuming at the refs? There might be a very good reason!

Blimey - We weren't that bad. Result aside, I thought our 1st half was very good. They zipped the ball about well, and had a nice buzz about them. Obertan looks like he could be very good. His appreciation of whats going on around him is excellent. His decision making was 1st class, doing the right things at the right time. I think the young lads ran out of ideas a little as the game progressed, and instead of keeping there composure they seemed to panick a bit, and get a little lost. The only one I would maybe question would be Gibson. I think he needs too long on the ball, and doesn't shift it on quick enough. Apart from that, I thought there were some good positives.
