Gabby Obertan is a potential superstar in the making.Looks like he is already overtaking Nani in the team and in Fergie's eyes.With each apperance you can see that his confidence is growing and is getting better and better.Can't wait until hes fully match fit and got used to the PL as he'll be some player.Surely he must start against Everton after the International break (boring).Hes already got a brilliant understanding with Evra on the left and some of his skill and passing ability are brilliant.Hes also lightning quick and tall and strong.Perfect for this League.A must starter in most games from now on hopefully.

Obertan could be one of the greatest signings ever and unlike Nani knows how to smile he has fantasic awareness and is very quick indeed,he should have started on Sunday and could have made the diference,also those who keep an eye on Tosic will know he has more ability than Nani and Park together.
Giggs is on and off and somtimes he is fantastic but other times he lets the team down.

Obertan looks like he could forge a great partnership with Evra, depends if he's keen on tracking back or whether after a couple of runs, 20 minutes into a game he stands with his hands on his hips - we'll have to wait for that one i guess...

Anyone could have a brilliant understanding with Evra, he's such an energetic fullback all you gave to do is push the ball past the opposing rightback and watch Evra fly past them.

Hope it works out for Obertan though, unfortunately everyone is starting to claim he is better than Nani, which means that inevitably he'll soon start being compared against Cristiano just like Nani is, and from there there's only one way - down. Cristiano was a one off.

How about Obertan on the left,then give Nani a chance on his natural right side by moving Valencia into central midfield?

Ill reserve judgement until he plays a bit more but he looks promising,effortless glide with the ball and gives support to the lb,once he gets used to the prem he should improve even more,nani's only superior weapon over him is his shooting as he packs a great shot but when he plays he frustrates so much and also it cant be good for team morale as berba and rooney look like they are going to fill him in everygame they play with him.
Only annoying thing is we wont recuperate the money lost on him as well as tosic if he's never going to get a chance, maybe use nani in a swap deal and cash for silva etc.

Not a bad idea,would be intresting to see valencia in a central position as apart from pace he is a poor winger couldn't see him setting up many goals from passes though or scoring loads but would provide energy and put nani in his actual position.

Obertan has shown a greater variety to his play than Valencia and Nani. I like the way he plays little one-twos with Rooney, Berb and Owen and comes inside to allow more space for Pat to jet down the wing. He does beat his man on the outside but not all the time like Valencia or seldom like Nani. He seems a confident lad too showing willingness to beat people and surge towards the box. I wonder if Mame will work out when he arrives as with Obertan, Valencia (Seen some of Llajic's swift displays in Serbia U21 games too) and the Roonster we will have a real mobile front line again.

Media hype. Obertan has done nothing so far to suggest he will be a superstar or any better than Nani or Valencia which does'nt say much I know! Would'nt be surprised if Fergie tries to trade Nani for Ribery plus 30m when he should have bought him for the same price as Nani 3 years ago. As for Park, give him to anyone who will take him but it won't be any team in the top half of the Premiership thats for sure. Would still like to know why we bought Tosic? Another miss by Fergie is Ramsey who looks a real superstar in the making and is a central midfielder but I guess he was looking at more wingers or keepers at the time!

Obertan is a good player the little i have seen of him i hope he cuts it and makes the grade, we need him and Owen Hargreaves back !

Nani needs to focus on his football but believe me - he will become a

he's certainly showing a lot of promise but lets not get carried away, Nani had a very good first season and now look........Nani's final ball lets him down time & time again, he either doesn't see them, does reach them or over hits the ball...it is something he really needs to work on.

Obertan seems to know where players are, keeps it simple and read Evra like a book...hopefully SAF will start getting him on early or even start him so we can get a good look.

Obertan is supposidly a free kick specialist so maybe that superiority will not last long...

One thing's for sure, he's what I would call a natural footballer.He looks so comfortable when he's running with the ball. He looks as if everything is under control and he seems to make good decisions. He also looks very fit and full of energy. However, it is far too early to say he should be a regular - that's just silly! Yes, Nani should be given a game or too on the right. I 've said before ( as have many others) that he has bags of ability and could be a wonderful talent. Another rocket up his backside can't do any harm.
We now have some very good options on the flanks - without even mentioning Park!

Yes Obertan looks exciting, however lets urge a sense of caution here and not over hype him, just let his game do the talking

I agree that Nani should be allowed time to make the right side his own with Obertan on the left, can you imagine the speed we would break out from defence at, frightening

All defenders know that Valencia is one footed, he will never be able to cross/shoot with his standing left leg only, therefore he is predictable and somewhat easier to defend against

Obviously I am more than likely kidding myself that SAF will actually realise Tosic's potential and include him on the bench and also that Hargreaves is close to some game time as we were told it would be November

Right now based on performances, Gabby is our starting left winger and Tosik should be given the chance of back up. Ryan serves us best inside but if Hargo comes back then Fletch, Hargo, Anderson and Carrick will be our starting mid field. The time has come to let Giggs, Scholes and Nev slip into the sunset on three outstanding careers. United need to move on and with Ljatic and Diouf coming in January, players will have to either go out on loan or move. Nani will be a casualty and some of the kids will have to go on loan to get playing time. Gibson, Wellbeck, Macheda have terrific careers ahead of them but sitting on the sidelines is not going to do them any good. DeLaet is a keeper as are the twins and I would give DeLaet more playing time which means what do you do with JOS and Wes. Great servants but we have great kids coming up. Last year we had the best defence in the country with Wes, Rio, Vidic and Evra. Patrice is the only one playing regularly, Rio has serious problems and Vidic has played some less than spectacular games when last year he was practicaly MOM every game. What has changed? Tevez was no loss and what difference would Ronaldo made to the present side. Perhaps we would have scored more goals but I think he was disruptive and the team as a whole will gel better without him and on Sunday only a bad refereeing decision gave Chelsea the points. Obertan could have come on earlier and Owen coming on to support Roo would have put them under more pressure but Fergie stuck with Giggs who was having an off day much too long so there you go. Legends get a lot of respect which is why Keano stayed well beyond his sell by date. I would try to settle in DeLaet, Vidic Evans and Evra and that stability at the back will win us more games. Give Rio all the time he needs and move the legends, Wes and JOS closer to the back of the bus. Big signing coming in January and I would love to get Aguerro ahead of Chelsea but we will simply be out bid as Chelsea have to recognise the age of their squad and the possible transfer ban looming.

I believe this guy has all of the elegance and class to be hailed as highly as the next Thiery Henry in the making. Watch this space.

yea great idea.... sell nani to a club that will have enough faith to actually play him...... (drum roll)...... REGULARLY....... and then we can all hear the headlines about how good he has become and that we really did have the next best player.... how many decent players with decent ability do we want to destroy?? most players that come here have exceptional skills one way or another.... just like tosic, obertan, the twins, young ronaldo, anderson, NANI just to name a few, weve had world cup winner kleberson (who was actually a decent player), and highest pofile example has to be forlan.......

valencia is now starting most games, hes scored a couple of dodgy goals, and has one trick in his game..... nani could have easily scored as many and assisted as many (probably more) if we showed some faith in him

I have a good feeling about this player. However, the comparisons will not be made to Ronaldo - more likely Cantona because they have that head up awareness and effortless skill on the ball. Time will tell but the early signs for me are good.

schmeichel denis cantona ronaldo keane robson you would have some merit if you said these lads were among the best signings ever. we have seen a few cameo appearances where the kid has done ok nothing spectacular and he has shown nothing to warrant your outrageaous claims.

have you actually watched united this season at all? . if you had you would have seen a masterclass on a few occasions from ryan giggsin left wing play. . obertan and tosic may come good but if they end up being even 25% of the player ryan has been then they will be ok. as for you assesment of him coming inside well my friend he must be the easiest player in the league to dissposses when he runs left to right.

You can play nani for 100 games a season for the last three years and it would not make the slightest bit of difference,
anybody who knows football can see it,the only reason he is still with us is that he cost 14mill and Sir Alex paid it and knows he has thrown another 10 mill down the drain.
The glazers wont give him any more money and as far as i can see it i dont blame them.
