I think the marks are not bad Anderson I thought was 8 Obertan 8 when he came on you thought something was going to happen,the ref was rubbish.I think we should have made changes early on Giggs can,t mix it to well.
The ref very poor he helped Chelsea so much.

United were excellent and definitely deserved at least ONE point. The ref stole all three points - Fletcher should feel outraged about that free kick. Good game overall - United certainly showed their character.

Hmmm. I would not really disagree with the rating except Giggs and valencia. Giggs seems the magic is leaving a little at a time. Another sub par performance too many errant passes and just not enough pace and did not really bother them at all. I don't think he should be starting games now but really coming in and trying to change them. As for Valencia, his game is so one dimensional that teams just sit on his right foot and he is done. Both should have been off the pitch at about 65 minutes. The rest of the marks I can live with. I get on Carrick but today I think he stood up and made a difference. Except for the loss well done.

Just 2 things...:

- Evans, fantastic! Hero, did what every United fan have wanted to do for years :-)
- Giggs, why don´t you shoot?

Van Der Sar 10: took the one shot that came his way

O'Shea 9: Would have gotten a ten aswell, but 2nd half wasn't as good as the 1st attacking wise
Brown 10: Only one dangerous shot from chelski tells the story, doesn't it
Evans 10: Same as Wes
Evra 9: mostly the same as O'Shea but reversed

Valencia 8: Good game, but a little disappointing in the 2nd half
Fletcher 9+: Showed that he's United's best midfielder, but could have been a bit more offensive.
Carrick 8: Technique disappointed him a couple of times coming forward
Anderson 7: for once he played more passes to team-mates than oppositions, but didn't really create.
Giggs 7+: Came to a couple of good chances where he became to unselfish. But good to get him back

Rooney 9+: Worked his socks off as usual, but lacked that little bit extra in his finishing today.

Marks look good, I think that was actually one of our better displays of the season even though we undeservedly lost, I think the ref gave them too much maybe 60:40. We definately deserved at least a point. Maybe should have taken Giggs off earlier as he was giving the ball away too much and had little impact. This actually could have been a good game for Nani as he may have scored with a long shot. Obertan looks useful though. Too bad but a good effort.

Robbed but nice to see them back on form,apart from having problems scoring! Giggs was our worst player and the midfield of Carrick,Fletcher and Anderson should be there permanently. four/five bad decisions. Where two Chelsea players collided and the ref stopped play when Roon was clear on goal.Wouldn't mind but they were running round like 2 stroke budgies straight away! The penalty when Terry wrestled Valencia to the floor.The Fletch good strong tackle which led to the free kick and the goal where Drogba pulled Wes down! Anelka MoM? Says it all really!

We are still not creating clear cut chances and that is causing massive problems. Our midfield can't score goals and is collectively the worst midfield of the top four or five teams. Is Stuart Mathieson related to Ryan Giggs? He was awful and isn't worth his place in the team. Five or six good games a season is all he can manage anymore.

Giggs should have a very generous 5 and so should Valencia.

At least Fergie picked the right team this time but you have to wonder why he did'nt at Anfield. Thought Evans, Carrick, Fletcher & Rooney were excellent and we were only beaten by the ineptitude of the ref. Fat boy, Ballack & Deco never had a meaningful kick but its galling to see the England captain along with slease bag Cole and and the biggest cheat that has ever played in the Premiership imo, Carvalho can still get away with their antics! Lets hope that Fat boy & Terry won't have that pathetic cheesy grin on their face at the end of the season. We must find someone to replace Giggs sooner rather than later and I thought Anderson, although effective looked completely lost at times. Evans is improving on a scale with Fletcher and will be our main defender for years to come but I think Wes should only be played at FB in the future. I thought we looked a better team without Berbatov but we must sign a real striker soon. Our formation today with Rooney replacing Giggs and someone like Torres up front would have beaten Chelski comfortably.

Why are English refs so scared of home fans. The Ref won three points for Chelsea today and that's a shame. I wonder if there is any disciplinary action for bad refereeing?

It's easy to take when you play poorly and deserve to lose to be defeated. But when the ref and his officials conspire to rob in one of THE big games of the season it's sickening.

8 Brown: Brilliant display

8 Evans: Same as Wes.

8 Evra: Unbelievable going forward, troubled a bit by Ivanovic.

4 Valencia: If he was able to turn back and lay off the ball with his left leg, a basic basic skill, then he wouldn't have been dispossesed where we immediately conceded the (dubious) free kick. Kept Cole quiet but going forward he is inept. On the ball he doesn't offer enough. He had all the time in the world to get that equaliser and he ended up nearly hitting a few united fans near me in the hid with his "effort".

8 Fletcher: Kept his big game reputation intact with a powerful display against much heralded Chelsea engine room

9 Anderson: Outstanding. Put ballack in his place.

6 Carrick: Better than Liverpool but still too slow on the ball.

I have been told that that is correct. If I can see it from the other end with all the United fans how can these paid officials not see; it's a joke. 0

How can you say that about Valencia? - Cole hardly got a kick during the whole match! He may not have done a lot up front but he completely subdued Cole.

Overall the lads did well and deserved at least a point, Chelski were actually quite poor and very lucky to get the win but thats as they say the hallmark of champions to win when playing poorly. I thought Giigs wasn't really at the races today and shouldv'e been replaced earlier.....I think SAF was settling for the draw, when the win was there to be had.

One positive, was I actually saw the "Christy Brown" AKA Valencia, kick the ball with his left foot and it went quite far...well done!!

The worst decision was the offside ruling against Rooney when played through by Anderson early on. Second was the booking of Drogba after J.Evans jump-kicked him in the ribs. Vidic seemed to enjoy it nonetheless.

Did not think that the JE incident was a MU foul...the acttress arrived late and charged into Evans,he knew exactly what he was doing but under-estimated the strengh & height that evans put into the jump (wish he had cracked his ribs),,Fletch's tackle was hard but fair and you see similar every week...good game & we deserved a point.Still cannot understand why the powers that be resist video replay,seems a no brainer to me.

Rooney is not an 8 for me. Too many passes doesn't hit his team mates. Good on his own, but seems he doesn't have a good understanding with no one.

We were the better team but what can you do. I will say regardless of the score, I feel the defense looks suspect. Who is John O'shea, is he really a player worthy of a united shirt... Also Fergie, I love you but please leave. What is Giggs doing in games, remember him against Arsenal - he is not longer a player worthy of big games... Carrick was invisisble. Play Obertan - a star has landed. He looks amazingly dangerous. In him, Rooney and Macheda I trurt our attack and add Anderden and Fletcher in the midfield. We need one more class winger and we will be competetive against the best of Europe.

Team played well today and should have left with at least a point. It may not be his favorite position but moving Wayne to the right today and playing Owen thru the middle might have suited us better.
