7 O’Shea: The Irishman ensured the attacking threat of Ashley Cole was subdued
8 Brown: Put up a stubborn blockade that kept Chelsea’ attack quiet
8 Evans: Another feather in the cap for the young defender against the power of Drogba and Anelka
7 Evra: The left back managed to stay out of any trouble but caused Chelsea enough
6 Valencia: The Ecuadorian didn’t really do enough damage to England full back Cole
8 Fletcher: Kept his big game reputation intact with a powerful display against much heralded Chelsea engine room
7 Anderson: The Brazilian dug in and did his bit to quell the menace of his opposition department
7 Carrick: Floated around the midfield to get stuck into the Londoners
7 Giggs: Ivanonvic was unable to switch off for a minute as the veteran kept him on his toes
8 Rooney: Second half in particular he was a massive thorn in Chelsea’s side

VDS 8 - Very composed, no chance for that goal
Wes Brown 9 - He was amazing and his head was on the end of everything - also fouled during the free kick
Evans 7 - The boy did great but he could have had a red card
Evra 8 - Great display
JOS - 7 Solid display
Carrick - 7 Solid and composed but he needs to learn how to shoot on target
Valencia - 7 Did OK but a little too one dimensional
Giggs - 8 - Intelligent display and clever movement
Fletcher - 9 Man of the match - no way was that a free kick - the Ref stole all three points off United
Anderson - 8 Very solid and biting in midfield
Rooney - 9 Great industry and effort although he never quite got there in the end
Obertan - he certainly looks useful if not the finished article
Owen - finished article??

- Evans, fantastic! Hero, did what every United fan have wanted to do for years :-)
- Giggs, why don´t you shoot?
Big game, good game by United, unlucky in the end.

O'Shea 9: Would have gotten a ten aswell, but 2nd half wasn't as good as the 1st attacking wise
Brown 10: Only one dangerous shot from chelski tells the story, doesn't it
Evans 10: Same as Wes
Evra 9: mostly the same as O'Shea but reversed
Valencia 8: Good game, but a little disappointing in the 2nd half
Fletcher 9+: Showed that he's United's best midfielder, but could have been a bit more offensive.
Carrick 8: Technique disappointed him a couple of times coming forward
Anderson 7: for once he played more passes to team-mates than oppositions, but didn't really create.
Giggs 7+: Came to a couple of good chances where he became to unselfish. But good to get him back
Rooney 9+: Worked his socks off as usual, but lacked that little bit extra in his finishing today.
Subs:
Owen 5: Didn't really get any chances
Obertan 8: Played very well in the little time he got, corners could have been better though

Valencia – Good game – a real team player & Improving – 7
Rooney – Looked a real menace & played really well with little support at times. – 8

7 Van der Sar: Nothing could be done for the goal
7 O’Shea: Solid. Heard him shouting at Valencia from time to time, looks like even he is getting fed up
8 Brown: Brilliant display
8 Evans: Same as Wes.
8 Evra: Unbelievable going forward, troubled a bit by Ivanovic.
4 Valencia: If he was able to turn back and lay off the ball with his left leg, a basic basic skill, then he wouldn't have been dispossesed where we immediately conceded the (dubious) free kick. Kept Cole quiet but going forward he is inept. On the ball he doesn't offer enough. He had all the time in the world to get that equaliser and he ended up nearly hitting a few united fans near me in the hid with his "effort".
8 Fletcher: Kept his big game reputation intact with a powerful display against much heralded Chelsea engine room
9 Anderson: Outstanding. Put ballack in his place.
6 Carrick: Better than Liverpool but still too slow on the ball.
5 Giggs: Made the wrong decision on the ball about 5 times in threatening possessions, unlike him
7 Rooney: Thankless job up front.

Referee: Martin Atkinson - Him and the linesman down on that wing United should have had the penalty cost us the game. Stonewall Penalty. Rooney looked onside from where I was and Drogba was offside. I have been told that that is correct. If I can see it from the other end with all the United fans how can these paid officials not see; it's a joke. 0

One positive, was I actually saw the "Christy Brown" AKA Valencia, kick the ball with his left foot and it went quite far...well done!!
