TOMASZ Kuszczak has launched a stunning attack on teammate Edwin van der Sar.
The Polish goalkeeper says he receives no help from United’s number one – adding that the Dutchman must not like him.
Sir Alex Ferguson has dismissed the comments as merely a joke - but at a time when his rearguard is in dissarray, a fallout between two of his goalkeepers is the last thing the United manager will want ahead of Sunday’s top of the table clash with Chelsea.
Kuszczak said: "To be honest, I must say this and Edwin doesn't like this too much for sure, but he doesn't help me too much
“I have told him a few times already to give me some more advice because he's got more experience and got many more games under his belt.
“I say, 'You have to give me something more because I like to know what I do wrong and like to watch other people. Doing that I can take some good from the advice I get.'
“But I don't know, maybe Edwin doesn't like me. You'll have to ask him.”
Ferguson tried to put out the flames, saying: “Tomasz was cracking a joke. He was laughing when he said it.
“There is no problem between him and Edwin - maybe it is just that Polish humour doesn't translate to British humour.”
Van der Sar’s ageless form has left Kuszczak and Ben Foster on the fringes at United.
Just this week Ferguson said he would be happy for the 39-year-old to postpone retirement for another year.
And with the United manager looking at a host of alternatives across Europe, such as CSKA’s Igor Akinfeev, it remains to be seen if Kuszczak will ever get the chance to become first choice at Old Trafford.
“I've already waited three and a half years,” he said. “I will wait longer, but my ambition is so big and I want to have a nice feeling after games, be tired and go home and think, 'Oh, you did a good job'.”

Never been good enough for United, get rid.

A decision should be made on the goalkeeping issue. If akinfeev were bought I think a lot of people would be relieved and both Kitkat and Foster would want to go. If not then KK should be given a fair crack at being no. 1 and the choice should be made on performances. However there seems to be a clear bias in Foster's favour which I fear will only lead to problems for the team.

Polish international Kuszczak has been at United for more than three seasons but has failed to dislodge Dutch veteran Van der Sar and has made only 35 first-team starts.
Now the 27-year-old has risked the wrath of his senior team-mate and manager Sir Alex Ferguson by suggesting that Van der Sar has rejected his appeals for tips and advice.
The thing about this is Kussak has better stats than VDS or Foster performed the best in pre season and has never let three goals in,in one game.
I think he should feel very unlucky. However we know Fergie has his favourites and Tosic is not one of them, shame as he is a terrific little winger.

If this is the case Foster should be sold and VDS should take up dancing.

Personally, I can't see Kuszczak ever being our No.1 because he isn't dominant enough. And 'help me please Edwin' doesn't make him sound very dominant, does it. We lack communicators in the side and Kuszczak doesn't communicate well.

Not good enough to be our No. 1
The standard for the position is very high and SAF will have to search for a new person to replace VdS.

Oh and surely asking for advice is a sign of respect and a willingness to learn?

Di Maria was clearly up for last night but is only on par with Nani. There is better out there.

A "fair crack of the whip" suggests that he's on par with Edwin and Foster and has simply been overlooked - i doubt that's the case.

Manchester United- the team despised by most Mancunians and the majority of football fans., Tick tock, not long now. (06/11/2009 at 12:40)
Judging by his goalmouth positioning over the last couple of games I don't think Van de Saar can teach you much Tomas! then again You can always ask the other goalie Mr Foster for a bit of advice, Mmmm let's forget that one as well.
Why not take a trip over to 'Dreamlands' on Saturday Tomas and watch Shay in action? I think that may be the best of the three options.
