In one corner you have the United fans, in another the United haters who want to see us stuffed, in another the purists who love good footall and in the last corner, people who will watch anything as long as it's football.
We shouldn't complain, love them or hate them, Sky changed the face of football with all their dosh. Of course they would be nowhere today without football. Football is at the mercy of money, just like everything else these days.

Back then, crowd levels were dwindling. You could even buy a ticket at the OT ticket office on gameday.
Sky has made football more popular, injected a lot of cash into it and has made it so popular that other channels such as ESPN are doing deals to get some coverage, so now we are in the fortunate situation of being able to watch the game at OT, on SKY or ESPN.
Gone are the days of having to get ripped off by a tout, listen on radio 5 or watch it on Swedish TV.
Thank you SKY for helping the English watch English football as much as every other country in the world can watch English football by not being screwed by the BBC any more.
As for crowd levels, they were falling before SKY arrived. They are much higher these days. That is with the exception of City and there's a perfectly understandable reason for their poor attendances ... they ARE City after all.

Sky brought greed, corporates, numerous sponsors and fixtures to suite them not the working man, not to mention the clowns they employee.
