Macheda, 17, scored the last-gasp winner to beat Aston Villa on his debut on Sunday and Sir Alex Ferguson does not intend to dump the Italian even though he has three senior players returning.
Wayne Rooney, Paul Scholes and Nemanja Vidic are all back from suspension.

Where are the twins? After having such an impact earlier in the season, they have vanished.I know they have been injured but surely they must be OK by now. Maybe they are not let out after it goes dark, too young! IMO,we have really missed Wes this season,we real could do with him back now!
foster, vida evans evra erckersley carrick scholes giggs ronaldo tevez rooney sub fletc oshea macheda welbeck anderson
Good to see Vidic and Rooney back. Ron looks like he's got some desire back for the game after his second goal yesterday. As game falls on my birthday I'm hoping for a United classic display. Wonder who will start alongside Rooney?
I'm suprised he released that ferdinand isn't playing so early, anyhow team vds,o'shea, evans, vidic, evra, ronaldo, fletcher, scholes, giggs, tevez, rooney, and when you look at the cost of that team it didn't cost that much to put together bar rooney's price
Bradley - Ron has got his desire back" Oh really. If we had a Keane/Bruce style captain they would be conStantly on Ron's back to stop the spoilt brat routine. You've been tackled, get on with it and stop staring at the heavens as though it's someone up there's fault. Talented as he is he drives me nuts with his attitude, or lack of it. Even Usain Bolt, ahead of his sprinting lessons, has told Ron to toughen up to improve his act.
Vidic's return will be a big plus for us tomorrow. He will be all out to put that nightmare performance against Liverpool behind him. Not just against Porto but for the rest of the season.
edinburgh red, you have a good point!! and imagine how much it is worth now??!! just ronaldo's sale price would be worth more than the entire cost of that team...
anyway to the porto game... i think anderson is a must to start this one, its his old stomping ground!
vds, fletcher, evans, vidic, evra, park, carrick, anderson, ronaldo, tevez, rooney
subs: oshea, scholes, nani, macheda, welbeck
come on yoooo reds!! hopefully we will get a 3-0 scoreline and put the whole tie to bed early, allowing some players to rest and macheda, welbeck and eckersley to get some invaluable CL play time
Should be: vds,o'shea, evans, vidic, evra, ronaldo, fletcher, scholes,Park, tevez, rooney. Bench of Giggs, Foster, Neville, Eckersley, Carrick, Macheda, and Gibson or Welbeck.
I suspect Nani and perhaps Anderson will be found to be surplus to requirements when the window opens again. And as much as I love everything about Tevez, I just can't justify that huge asking price for him. This group that "owns" his rights - what a rubbish setup. The FA should step-in and set Carlos free at the end of the term. Pay the man a good wage with a new contract, and let the agent get a "cut" of that, as is standard practice.

6/04/2009 at 16:01 If you are really a United fan you'll be happy with Ronaldo. He plays for us and he got us out of jail yesterday. He made Macheda's goal special because he had scored two goals. He does tricks, people say they don't like it now he just lays off the ball. And people are saying he ain't that good anymore. He now has 2 sometimes 3 players on him from opposing teams. Creating for the likes of Rooney and Berbatov who have not taken advantage. How many goals have Berbatov and Rooney have? Ronaldo has 20 and counting!
Bradley, happy birthday for tomorrow. Your present from United is safe - it's that time of the year. Tevez will start alongside Rooney, no question.
Rio's absence is a blow but at least Vidic is back. I have a lot more confidence in a back four with him in it than the one that played against Villa. I suspect JOS rather than Neville will be at right back.

I agree with Bradley - yes Ronaldo's attitude has stunk recently, with his reactions to decisions and passes not going his way, but yesterday he improved.
Not 100 per cent, but still better than in previous games - his second goal was a good example of that
Where is Wes ???? how is he, is he still alive ???
oh gosh please not oshea he is useless !
vds: o'shea vida evans evra: fletcher scholsey carrick park: ronaldo: rooney. ths will give ronaldo a free role to roam behind rooney. we need goals and not to concede.
I think team almost picks itself, the big questions being Neville or Oshea AND Giggs or Scholes or Tevez.
I would go for: VDS, Oshea, Evans, Vidic, Evra, Carrick, Fletcher, Park, Tevez, Rooney, Ronaldo
It's extremely disappointing that Wes, the Twins,Possebon,Anderson and Hargreaves are unavailable ,with no explanation about the condition of most of these. No sign of Toscic either.
We need Rio, but Evans is a capabl replacement. One more thing i am surprised that No one mentioned how pathatic was Nani yesterday, and why SAF still even allows him to waer UTD shirt. let alone play. "Red Culture"/ If U think that Nani played well against Villa, then i feel sorry for you, Go check your eye sight or learn about football.

You say you Ronnie's attitude stinks what about Rooney's? Just tell us if you like Rooney's attitude to decisions? Is it because Rooney is English you are prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt and not Ronaldo. If I may Rooney's attitude is worse than Ronaldo and has been for many years. At least Ronaldo can back up his attitude with goals!
Are they still around ? and Wes Brown ?
where are they ?
Id go for VDS or Forster,
Flethher, Vidic, Evra and ???
Not too sure of the midfield mmaybe
Carick and who , Scholsey , ???
Ronaldo, Rooney, Tevez and Macheda
Not too sure what about Possebon , No anderson , no rio, no owen no midfield !
Mark, I doubt Giggs or Neville can play another game so quickly with no break so neither will start is my guess. Scholes will definitely play. So, the team is most likely to be VdS, JOS, Evans, Vidic, Evra, Ronaldo, Carrick (or Fletcher), Scholes, Park, Rooney, Tevez. I would have liked to have seen Fabio because Evra could do with a break but in Rio's absence, SAF will stick with Evra.

The only person who needs to get their eyes checked or learn about football is you. You expect one player who hasn't played a premier league football match in a few months to come out and blow everyone away? If that is what you expect then you probably think that EVERY United player is crap. You are a joke. Nani actually had a good game yesterday. He made a few tackles, sent quite a few crosses in as well. Sure his decision making wasn't the best and he did take that one bad shot at goal. but remember, he has scored quite a few goals with those hail mary shots.
And Carrick and Tevez both gave teh ball away a few number of times, yet everyone talks about how good they were. Spare me the learn about football garbage. You need to slap yourself for even suggesting otherwise.
I much prefer Vidic/ Evans than Rio/ Evans. Scholes and Park will be a certainty. Everyone is happy that the big names are back (add Rooney) but the team has stuttered for much of the season. So why now?
Top of the league certainly so SAF must be doing something right but it's already April and the team has yet to sparkle. A very strange season indeed.

So when did he (Nani) played an average game !? at least this season !? everytime i see him i feel shite, i feel things are not going to be ok at all. I just wnt you to base ur defence on his form !?He was, is and will always be crap, I did not think EVERY player is bad, this guy is not Everyone , I on the other hand knows that Fletcher and park are not poular and yet I think they almost always have great games for us and worth every penny of the little money we payed for them (Not 17m). I really think that SAF and or whoever plays this pathetic guy are only trying to justify the 17m wasted.
