7 Evans: The most assured of a ragged United outfield rearguard

5 Evra: The French left back is still struggling to find his pre New Year form

6 Ronaldo: Two excellent goals made up for another struggle to find his best destructive form

5 Carrick: Never really got into the midfield tussle and unable to create the openings

6 Fletcher: The Scot didn’t always get it right but he really got into the fight and never gave up

4 Nani: Another disappointing effort from the winger. He never gave United a penetartion

6 Giggs: Had to call on his years of experience to keep United’s pecker up and provided winning assist

A 6 for Fletcher is ridiculous. He deserves 10 - a 9 for his performance and a bonus point for all the ill will directed towards him in recent years. Without his contribution yesterday, United would have been beaten long before the 92nd minute.

Spot on seasider, blackpool.Fletcher was just outstanding in the time of difficulty. He never gave up. I wish he plays all games until the end of the season as we need to stop changing our central midfield.

Nev & Oshea were awful. Hopefully they won't play in the same starting line up for the rest of this season, neither could cope with a bit of pace. Thankfully Vidic is back and hopefully Rio in the near future. Great to see Fletch battling away in the midfield, his constant running kept United ticking over. Was great seeing Ron suddenly get a appitite for the game after his second goal, seems to be more concerned with moaning about the hits he takes in a game, but after his second goal he got stuck in and looked like he wanted to help the team win. Kiko, I knew he'd score if he played, thought he'd get the third, but thought game would have ended 3-1. Barry was MotM for me, tried his hardest for his new team in the summer. 3 fantastic and overdue points, can't wait for Porto game, tiz on my birthday so hoping for a gift and United secure in the semi's ;o)

why do you give man city ratings all above 7's and rarely give man united ratings above 6????

look at the last 5 match ratings for city and united it is hilarious to say the least

fletcher 6 ronaldo 6??? was i dreaming when ronaldo scored those 2 goals??

you give city better ratings when they lose!!

Bradley I agree with most of your comments with the exception of Ron; see other post, but I wonder what's happening in the head of Nani. He seems to lack any threat at the moment.

GN - Lost Carew for first goal and looked very one paced at RB - 5

0'Shakey - Average - 6

Evans - Average - 6

Patrice - Average for him - 6

Ron - Two vital goals and delivered when we really needed a boost - especially the equaliser - 7

Fletch - Here, there & Everywhere. MOM - 8

Michael C - Ticking over rather than dominating - 5

Nani - A couple of decent crosses - needs a bit of luck. I still have faith. Still capable of winning a game for us - 4

The Teenager from Italy - What a half hour. His introduction put Villa on the back foot and United took control for the first time in the match. Wonder goal - 8

Giggs - a very in out sort of game but totally commited and fantastic fitness levels for his age - 5

The Apache - No one knows how much the Bolivia trip took out of him but gave it his all. Not one of his better days though - 4

agree with your ratings bobbydazzler except that i thought you were a bit kind to neville and nani. id give both a 1 for turning up and that's it. gnev is hopeless and was a real liability whereas nani put in what has become a fairly commonplace non-performance from him. evra has lost some form so i hope that's a temporary thing because we need him on his game. evans probably deserved a 7. he's matured into a really good defender. the form of carrick is also worrying. hopefully scholes can help lift the midfield between now and the end of the season. beyond that i really hope hargos knees come good for next season. as industrious and all as tevez is he doesn't offer enough of a goal threat and unless we can get him for 15 mill I'd say there is little to no chance of him being signed. it's a real pity but at the end of the day forwards are there to score goals. this comment has been a bit negative so i'll finish by commenting on macheda and wellbeck. it's incredible to think that both of these lads could have won the game and that it was a wonderstrike by the 17year old that did it. the talent coming through is fantastic to behold.

Sky timed it as 4 mins and 38 seconds of time to be added on so 5 mins was correct, really you are red because you must have been watching.
Or perhaps you think refs should not stop their watches during a game and allow time wasting tactics to dominate the game.

A Manc and blue, I agree I was not particurlarly happy with the time added on, after all Macheda scored with 92mins and 4 secs on the clock and the ref played almost 96 mins, definite advantage to Villa. Typically biased refereeing!

Fletch never gives up does he? Still a bit ungainly but its his style and I doubt its going to change. He might put on a couple of pounds but he will never be quick and neither will Carrick. Both use the ball well though Carrick and Evra seem to be slightly off their game.I think a fit Hargreaves and a more seasoned Anderson will help next year as Fletch and Carrick won't have as much of a load to carry. Possebon may also develop but i think Gibson will be moved on. Our three legends will definately call it quits and it will be strange for a season without them. We could see four Brazilians starting a game for us next year.
