The young Brazilian's impressive mobility and unquenchable appetite for joining the attack saw him claim three goals during a 20-minute spell either side of the break. And it could have been four had he converted 21st minute penalty awarded after he'd been fouled as he burst into the area.
United, the current holders of the Lancashire Cup, were forced to come from behind after Joe Reidy had headed Dale into a 17th minute lead.
Fabio put United level, in the 27th minute, and then made it 2-1 five minutes before the break. He completed a notable scoring feat two minutes after the restart.
Danny Welbeck wrapped up the scoring in the 58th minute.

He looks to be some player who knows how to score. Saw a bit of a reserve game against the scousers and he tore them apart with a run from deep and one two into the box. Even the scousers commentators were blown away. And yes, it stuck in their throats to admit it!
