Tevez scored twice before half-time and his double helped explain why Sir Alex Ferguson's men might lift five bits of silverware this season - nine of his 12 goals have come in cups.
Wayne Rooney added another just after the break to end any hopes Fulham had of a comeback in a breathless quarter-final, with Ji-sung Park adding a fourth before full-time.
United have secured the World Club Cup and the Carling Cup already, are in control in the Barclays Premier League and have reached the last four of the FA Cup for a record 26th time. The focus now turns to the Champions League clash against Inter Milan on Wednesday.
Victory came against a Fulham side who were in decent form and confident mood - despite their midweek defeat by Hull - but Roy Hodgson's men simply had no answer to United's relentless attacks.
Fulham's task was to end any hopes of a clean sweep of trophies and to defy history, as they had not beaten United at home since 1964.
That was in the era when George Best was on the flanks for United, with the current equivalent being Cristiano Ronaldo - but Ferguson rested the Portugal winger.
Ronaldo had trained all week but had been involved in United's recent busy schedule and Ferguson had plenty of options, naming Dimitar Berbatov on the bench and bringing in Anderson and Tevez.
United gave the hosts a warning as early as the third minute after Brede Hangeland carelessly gave the ball away.
Rooney stabbed the ball to Tevez and his shot was saved at full stretch by Mark Schwarzer, with John Pantsil beating Rooney to the rebound.
Fulham may have been ruthlessly exposed by United but it was not one-way traffic, the hosts had a number of meaningful attacks in a fast-paced cup tie.
In the 13th minute they showed their attacking threat when Simon Davies lofted a ball over the top. Andrew Johnson got his toe on the ball from the edge of the area to wrong-foot Edwin van der Sar, with Nemanja Vidic required to race back and clear before it trickled over the line.
Van der Sar plucked Clint Dempsey's header from under the crossbar then Bobby Zamora, who had provided the cross for the American, fired over from the edge of the area.
Fulham's good start was undone in the 20th minute when United took the lead. Anderson's corner was flicked on by Rooney and Tevez steered his header between the post and Paul Konchesky.
Rooney had set up the opener and he was trying his hardest to add a second, including a 50-yard effort that went just over the bar.
The England striker was unfortunate to be flagged offside when he rounded Schwarzer and tucked the ball home, then he struck the post when Park crossed from the right flank.
It was Tevez who added the second with a stunning effort. The Argentina forward picked the ball up on the halfway line, headed towards goal and cut inside before finding the top corner with a fearsome strike in the 35th minute.
It could have been different if Fulham had been awarded a penalty when Zamora appeared to have his shirt pulled by John O'Shea, and they also had a chance when Rio Ferdinand blocked bravely after Johnson raced through.
Ferdinand was taken off at the break after appearing to pick up a knock but United were three goals ahead within five minutes of the restart.
Dickson Etuhu's poor clearance eventually found its way to Rooney, who curled an effort from 20 yards that nestled in the bottom corner.
Rooney had second-half tussles with Dempsey and Etuhu that almost boiled over - he was taken off in the 64th minute, ensuring there would be no needless bookings.
Tevez shot into the side-netting with his attempt for a hat-trick but it was Park who added the fourth, in the 81st minute, when he latched onto a poor ball from Zoltan Gera before racing into the area and finishing confidently.

This is realy bad news for Jose Morinho.
Simply brilliant game, tevez was immence, park and roo also.
The team played well,a bit jittery but as they settled they ouzzed class.
5 trophys are on.
Schoolboy football for the first 20 mins but I thought that there was definitely something wrong with the pitch,or was there a lot of wind? Strange thing,I only counted 2 free kicks for fouls in the first half,is this a record? A good display and Roon and Carlo should play up front on Wed.Some of their uderstanding was telepathic!Reminded me of last season when we were scoring lots of goals.
we shall not we shall not be moved
we shall not we shall not be moved
just like a team, that's gonna win the f---in lot
we shall not be moved
Great stuff today.
I hope Rio isn't out for too long, though Evans has been mighty this season. It was nice for Park to get himself a goal... I don't he's scored since Chelsea in september.
Hopefully we'll be as lethal in front of goal against Inter this week. I'd really love to rubbish them ala Roma in 2007, but I'll take what I can get so long as we go through.
Great work today.
It was nice seeing Park grab himself a goal and, as I don't think he's scored since september. If Arsenal get through I hope United get them, though I'm sick of playing chelsea in finals so I'd take them so i'd take them as well, and hopefully give either one of them a bit of what we dished out today.
Can we play Fulham every weeks please? They are pretty awful aren't they? Still, a very good performance for us, after a bit of a wobbly start. Very smooth, nice passing and movement, even against a woeful Fulham side. Apart from one dodgy back header, Vida was yet again immense, and MOM for me. Great shift from Park, and a nice finish too. Same for Wazza, and Tevez does look comfy alongside him. They do work well together. Good game from Carlos, and what a strike for his second. Fletcher still a bit rusty, but showed some decent touches and can't fault his effort. Evra, well, normal service has been resumed.Nice one. Eckersley looked very nervous on the ball, but doesn't have much experience at this level, still, good commitment and energy level.Nice comfortable win, but it's going to get harder from here on, in all competitions, but based on what we've seen this squad can do it. As noted by the commentators today, perhaps not the best team Fergie's had, but perhaps his best squad.Everyone's playing their part in this season's success so far, even in our ugly wins, which have been quite a few. This wasn't one of them.
started off very slack, but once we got going we where unstopable, anderson and park the only ones not at there best, hope he keeps with tevez midweek but doubt he will.....
Last time against Fulham it was 3-0, this time 4-0. I bet they're really looking forward to meeting United next season for 5-0.
Last time against Fulham, it was 3-0, this time 4-0. I bet Fulham can't wait to meet United next season for 5-0, then 6-0. Hopefully, there will be another cup encounter too!
Last time against Fulham was 3-0, now 4-0, so 5-0 and then 6-0 next season.
Last time against Fulham 3-0, now 4-0. Next season 5-0 and 6-0, plus maybe a 7-0 in the cup.
Some people have rejoiced in slagging off Carloz Tevez perhaps they eg Sean in NY could pay a little respect to a great player who United should sign up on a full contract. This a proper footballer & I believe Alex wants him long term.
I loved the comment from a BBC commentator today - "Fulham haven't been disgraced at all, they've just been beaten by a machine. United are as hungry a team as I have ever seen." This is the key to our continued success this season. So many folks on here blast the team when we have less than a thrashing of the other team. What folks don't seem to realize is the hunger. This is what takes us to the next level to top our opponents when we need to, no matter how poorly or well we play. The Newcastle game was nerve-wracking, no doubt, and not my preferred method of winning. But they held their nerve and pulled through. Same as in all our 1-0 games that everybody knocks. Let's put things in perspective and give credit to the gritty, grinding results as well as the magnificent ones such as today. With this hunger and will to win, I have a real confident feeling about the Inter and Pool games, 'specially as we'll be home.
These are exciting times, folks, exciting times.
What a team! What a performance! What a week this could be, get past Milan then spank the scousers on Saturday. One question I have, why can't Tevez play like that all the time, will not see a better goal this season than his second. Park superb again, lets hope VDS has rid himself of any more shaky moments.
In my opinion, Berbatov is an OK player but I don't think we needed to pay 30 million for him. Plus our movement and understanding up front is much better with Rooney, Tevez and Ronaldo compared with Rooney, Berbatov and Ronaldo. Wiyj that being said, I would like to see Berbatov on the bench on Wednesday's CL and start with Rooney, Tevez and Ronaldo. We will need pace and aggression.
very very good performance from the team, a real goal threat great movement and a fantastic work ethic from the lads that lasted THE WHOLE 90 MINUTES.
best game of the season from park at last he looked like a footballer and showed he is not afraid of the football. thought rooney was superb even though he missed a sitter. carrick was probing away all afternoon and was on top of his game. a great cup tie .
We are 2 wins away from making it 3 cos the Prem is as goog as won even if we lost to Liverpool.
Hmmm should be interesting reading comments on Parks finish/ contribution. Second half you just had a feeling he was going to score.
Shouldn't the first line of his song be ... "Park, Park you came from PSV". Better than what we currently sing don't you think? Love the rest of that song.
Great result thats now 10 good goals this season we have had ruled out ,thats far to many cameras need and should be used,Uniteds players are far to quick for most officials that are more interested in strutting their stuff on TV than concentrating on thr game.
Cameras are used in nearly all other sport.
You have to ask yourself why not football.
Park is getting better and will be the first Asian to play in a cup final.
The papers are saying
Milan will bid for Vidic and Evans.
Great performance from THE SQUAD every man doing the job F.A. cup away 4 0 brilliant, I wonder who will be the first to post --------- is not a United player and should not have played, I have said before and I will say it again RED SHIRT support them.
This is realy bad news for Jose Morinho.

I think that might just be the case jose thinking oh no its the end.
I m a big fan of Berbatov over Tevez but I have to say Fergie should throw Rooney and Tevez at Inter although I dont see him doing so.Shame as the Inter defenders dont like to be hurry when on the ball.
I was shocked when I saw the teamnews but as proven at the end.
fulham have the second best home record in the premiership after united; frankly they were made to look "also rans". For the first time this season the tem went for the jugular and ground a team down; i thought 4-0 flattered them. Could it be the penny has dropped and they are all fighting to be a part of something historic? Despite being a lover of the berb; cant see how fergie can drop tevez after that performance; thought him and rooney were unplayable and would run the inter defence ragged! Cabt wait for the scousers next sat; it could be a "scouser slaughter"...they are like morpheous says..beginging to believe. In the immortal words of the frankie valli song FIVE IS IN THE AIR" evrywhere i look around; in the team and in the ground'i dont know if iam dreaming'dont know if iam staying alive; i just look at this team and think they going to win all five; five is in the air in the team and in the ground"... shakespaeere i aint but boyle if your reading this it was me who sang it first!!1
we were good in all department and also very happy for park for 2 outstanding games.once we clear the inter game, i think we should be able to achieve the impossible........cheers man utd
