4 Neville: Sadly the skipper never got on top of the Nasri threat and had a miserable afternoon
5 Ferdinand: Only Bendtner to look after up front but it wasn't one of his more accomplished jobs

5 Anderson: Covered plenty of ground but he was generally out-numbered and fighting losing battle
5 Park: As ever no truck with his effort but didn't make a serious imprint

Berbatov is a waste of space. He is lazy and cowardly.
Anderson was 9 did you watch the game he was brilliant, its no wonder no other reporters agree with your marks.
Raphael was 8 as thats what he would have got if he had started.
The carling cup team should be VDS Neville Giggs Rio Tevez O,Shea Brown and all the other dross who get paid a fortune and keep out great players as POSSEBON MANUCHO Evans Eckersley Raphael.

Rate them? You've got to be kidding.I had to walk away from the television set after the first half.Call me a fair-weather fan, but at least listen to my argument: if the Manchester United players could get the basic stuff right, like passing without the ball going to Arsenal, or booting the ball to nowhere, or being pathetic in front of goal, then why should I show up and feel such anguish? If Fergie could barely move his you know what off the bench and start yelling and directing, why should I yell at a TV set 3,000 miles away? It hurts but this team of stars isn't gelling. And we could have done with Silvestre, who made an error in the first minute but after that was solid, a lot more than we can say about our back lot. Fergie, time to tell them: No matter if you are stars, I will the drop the lot of you - except DaSilva, who should immediately move into attack.
Seems a bit harsh for a battling game against one of the top 4. If we had taken our chances early it would have been different, but we didn't. Today I think we saw where United rank this year, 3 or 4 sadly we don't have a battling midfield to win these kind of games and that's where we lost the game.
Why play Park? I don't know?
Neville was never going to be fast enough for this game?
Giggs, done.
SAF is in real dnager of ruining both Rooney and Tevez both look too wound up and desperate to score. Berbatov is not looking the part doesn;t look like he fits the style. Give him a rest next game and lets see Tevez and Rooney together again.
Ratings are ridiculously harsh.
Wrong selection by Sir Alex of whih Gary N and Pak shouldnt be in team but Johnny Evens or Rafael in defence and Nani or Giggs and Teves should start and replace by Rooney in second half.
I would make them all play against QPR in midweek, boy did they let themselves down today.
I thought men ratins very generous, lets get Foster (dont rate kitkat) and da silva in regular. Van der sar will only become a liability come the end of the season you can hear his kness creaking.
Too many off them seem to missing just lately this as been on the cards for a while now, We have still not got into our stride very disjointed at the moment and when we get back from japan we will be 2 games down and a fair bit to do points wise.
KEEP THE FAIR
Carrick no movement with the ball, doesn't tackle and his famed passing is great when passing the ball straight back to you or out off reach, for 18 million I would want a lot more than we are getting, anderson okay when he had the ball but both him and carrick were neither on the end of there defensive clearances or first to ours, also anderson again tired, can this boy not play 90mins? Park good shift but offers nothing, ronaldo tried hard but was crowded out, defence today was all over the place we looked more vunerable from crosses than they did, vidic, rio and evra did ok,neville and vander sar on that showing should be subs, neville got skinned everytime and bar one pass mishit most of them and he looked so slow, he is an underated legend at ot but wes brown when fit deserves to stsrt now, raphael is good but at times when he came on he was in midfield which will get punished but great goal, the goalie needs dropped now he cost us point against chelsea, liverpool and newcastle already this season and he isn't inspiring me with any confidence right now or his defenders.
Upfront fergie should go back to plan B drop berbatov and play tevez, we have hardly scored any goals this season not helped by rooneys misses today, but berbatov is on the halfway life most of the time and 1 goal which hit off him in 9 games is a poor return.
At least on paper bar west ham away we have played our most problematic fixtures already so we can only improve but somethings missing this season so far.
Glad we didn’t buy him. You can keep him.
Ratings just about right. Might have give Anderson a 7 as he was the only player matching the Arse's enthusiastic work rate from their youngsters. It was a definitely lazy "I dont want to be here performance". Especially in the first half from Utd. Time and again you could see 3 to 4 red shirts running past blue ones. They certainly came out with no motivation. Arsenals second goal made the whole Utd. team look like skittles.
as gd as berbatov can be...its time to get ronaldo rooney and TEVEZ playing together upfronts. all 3 are interchangeable and can play right, centre or left... berbatov only plays through the middle. we havnt bin close to last years standards yet so get it changed fergie get tev back in before its too late. im a big ccarrick fan but he was shocking today
What a huge disappointment!! The mid-field was no where to be found and I don't understand the selection of Park? Runs all day without any result. Nani would have least spread out the pitch Neville was terrible...He has lost several steps and gives the ball away far too easily. We gave the game away and the second goal was a joke, did we believe all the talk from Wenger about the physical side of the game? How many passes did they put together before they scored? They could have walked it in with the way the United mid-field let them pass......
There is signs that ManU can give a good account of themselve this season if only SAF can stop this rotational policy that did no team any good in the past and more so he should has the courage to retire GN and play less VDS. These two players have good replacements so why the gambling if I may ask. We lost cos of wrong selections and substitution. Anderson was our best player so why substituting him. Babertov can't he do more than just passing and why after the passing he doesn't move forward quickly to receive the ball back at the opponent goal mouth area? Arsenal won not because they were better but because ManU failed to take the battle to them and gave them too much space in CM. Carrick is good but after the injury he is not up there yet.
All 6 ( only reasonable) for me except: Vicic 7, Evra 7, Park 7 & Berb 5.
Other issue for me were the substitutions of Rooney & Anderson and it should have been Nani on instead of Giggs.
Anderson looks good but there's seldom any end product? The Roon could have had a hatrick in the first half hour.
Missed chances cost us a packet today and our defence looked less than secure all of the game.
if everybody put half the effort that young rafael put in we wud have no problems
What a goal from Rafael. Brilliant. Shooting in general was abusmal and the way we started I thought we were going to hammer them. Arsenal deserved the win and did anyone notice that it was always an Arsenal player who picked up balls cleared by either team.
Agreeing with others here that the rating for Anderson was very harsh. He was easily the man of the match for United, shame that Carrick, Rooney Ronaldo, Berbatov, Neville, Ferdinand were so poor today.
We need to stop prducing these spineless performances. Arsenal weren't great toady either but of their three chances, they converted two of them while we wasted chance after chance yet again.
Blue Moon, as you know being a Manc (presumably) many of us also support United (our local side). Perhaps you could name the local sides people in Singapore and New York should be supporting.
A typical bitter blue no doubt. What would you say to the brummie I met the other day who was wearing a Robinho City top?
How can you give Berba 6, he contributed nothing.
I must say I think that Berbertov is going to be a big waste of money... I don't understand why we bought him.. We had tevez and rooney doing really well together and they need games... But stopping and starting tevez is going make him desperate and effect his confidence. I just can't see it all working.. we would have been beter off keeping frazer campbell. At least he had something to prove. I think it's a waste of 30mill when we could have used that money for something else. We need more youngsters coming through. You can't have all these first team players who should be playing on the bench then expecting them to perform. Secondly I wish united would learn to pass the ball... what do they do in training?
Defense. vds 5 neville 3 rio 5 vidic 6 evra 7. Not really much you can say here. Every week Rio looks a little lost now. He is not taking charge in defense and it shows. Arsenal could have score at least 2 more. SAF needs to have a talk with Rio and fast.
Midfield Ronaldo 6 Carrick 4 Anderson 6 Park 4. Ronaldo has got to finish that ball a player of the year cannot miss that. Carrick has no drive to take charge of this team and it shows. Anderson lacked a bit of energy today which is a bit strange seeing he was rested midweek. The boy needs consistency and learn how to finish. Park absolutely no impact.
Offense - Berbatov 2 Rooney 5. Berbatove is not worth 30 million pounds I don't care how many touches he gets. He could not score today to save his life. I will say it here. He is not a United player and at 28 is not going to improve. Absolutely no movement and he slows down the counter attack. I would play Tevez in the hold and put Rooney up front like last year. For the money we paid for him, he should have a positive influence on the game and at least have an attempt on goal. With him and Ronaldo in the game we play 9 on defense and that is not going to cut it. Rooney can't fault him for effort and drive but his finishing is just awful.
Management - First SAF needs to pick a leader on the field, the team has no direction. It is just a bunch of players out there doing their own thing. The difference between last year and this year is striking. Maybe we miss Scholes that much. The team lacks focus on what it is trying to do and without a play maker on the field we just stumble around. Poor finishing and the result is 21 points from 11 games just not good enough. Some tough love needs to be dished out in the dressing room as we have 60 million pounds worth of strike force on the field and we cannot score a goal from open play. Something has to be done soon are we will win nothing this year.
Blue Moon...how typical of a half wit city fan! The last time I check City is not owned by anyone in Manchester. And how many of your players are actually born and bred in Manchester?
i'm really getting mad here when everybody go on about berbertovs touches! what bloody touches! it creates nothing for the team. i bloody want more then touches from a 32m guy!
GN should get a 4 at most. All the problems in our defence were on his side. Like RG, he is no longer capable to match the pace of younger players. RF also had a poor game and should get a 5. He was day dreaming throughout 90 min, probably having a hang-over after his birthday party. SAF must play Evans and Da Silva more from now on!
