Spanish newspaper Marca has driven the Ronaldo story from the outset and has again been in mischievous mode insisting that sources close to the Reds' American owners had said they "have agreed to the operation" and discussions could begin with Real Madrid.
However, a spokesman for the Glazers told M.E.N. Sport: "It is absolute nonsense. The family completely maintain their original stance and that is that Cristiano Ronaldo is not for sale.
"There have been no developments as far as we are concerned. There has been absolutely nothing said from this end."
Meanwhile, the Bernabeu dressing room is distinctly cool on the possibility that the 23-year-old United star could be among their number this season.
Dutch international Wesley Sneijder said the reported wages Ronaldo could be on if he moves to La Liga would cause trouble in the Real ranks.
"It would be bad for the dressing room because he would earn better wages than the rest of the squad," said Sneijder. "It wouldn't be a problem to me but some team-mates wouldn't fancy it. Here we have players like him, Arjen Robben and Robinho for example.
"For sure I want to play with Cristiano but the dressing room's harmony has to be maintained," Sneijder added.
"For me, this Madrid side do not need new signings," said Sneijder.
"In the last few matches last year we were very solid and the team have grown a lot."
REDS striker Dong Fangzhuo has been named in China's Under-23 squad for next month's Olympic Games in Beijing. Dong missed the last three months of last season with a knee injury but is fully fit again and scored in China's 4-0 victory over Malaysia last weekend.

With some lucky charms for breakfast its upto the Glazers and Utd what happens with Ronny. He's in LA at the moment partying away so why not approach LA Galaxy to see if they want to buy him? They'll fork out top dollar like they do with Becks!

Ronaldo is going nowhere, before he returns from his injury, there will be an open letter in the Mirror or Sun from Ronaldo saying it was all a mis-understanding and that he never wanted to leave.
Personally, if we get 100m, sell him but not a penny less.

I think supporters of the only true Manchester team ( board members Thaksin Shinawatra his son Panthongtae his daughter Pintongta, Sasin Monvoisin and Taweesuk Jack Srisumrid ) would have more on their minds like will your owner be going away for a long time, has Mark Hughes got any money to spend ? he already has hinted the answer to that is no. Did Mark Hughes have any say in the scam that was Ronaldhino ?. So tick tock tick tock is quite right at Wastelands. For all your huffing and puffing have some courage go to the bookies and put some money on who will be the next Manchester team to bring The Premier Title back to Manchester I dare you.

Mr Glazer said "PIZZA HUT has always been preferred choice. I have them in all my trailer parks throughout Alaska". Mr Ronaldo McDonalds only comment was "the surgery on my frontal lobe is healing nicely and i hope to be dribbling with the best of em' come the new MSL season'. Mr Glazer is 324.

I'll have £1,000,000 on City being the next MANCHESTER club to bring the title back to MANCHESTER. The salford red sox are not a MANCHESTER club.
