JUBILANT United fans were to be found in every corner of Manchester.
Hundreds packed Exchange Square in the run-up to the big match.
A singing, dancing crowd spread out from Sinclair’s Oyster Bar turning the area into a swirling mass of red.
Many were drinking openly in the street but under the watchful gaze of a few riot squad officers the mood stayed jovial.
Others gathered in Quay Street and more than 7,000 watched the match inside the M.E.N Arena.

Manchester United: most points, highest goals in, least goals conceded, highest goal scorer, highest attendances, top of Premier League, won the European Cup.
Where did it all go wrong?
Would Town have got smashed up if United had lost?
we watched the game in walkabout, what an atmosphere, well done to walkabout and all the fans involved, and i have got to say it was moving to stand in albert square singing our heads of to salute the champions of england and europe, truly a great time to be in manchester and support united.
