The party, led by manager Sir Alex Ferguson, flew out of Manchester Airport at lunchtime on a private charter.
Ferguson has already admitted he will have a tough job, not just picking a team but choosing his seven substitutes.
It means six players will be left watching the game from the stands at the Luzhniki Stadium.
Paul Scholes has been promised a place in the starting line-up after missing the European Cup victory in 1999 through suspension.
It might also be a memorable night for Ryan Giggs as he is poised to overtake Sir Bobby Charlton's club record of 758 appearances.

I guess the only doubt is whether it will be Hargreaves or Park but I think SAF will go with those three since Chelski play such a tight midfield. For the bench:
KitKat, O'Shea, Giggs, Park, Nani, Anderson, Saha. The unlucky ones are Fletcher, Silvestre and Pique. I guess some people might disagree with Saha on the bench but he's a proven striker so I'd be very surprised if he wasn't there. It wouldn't shock me if Park or Nani didn't make the 18 to make way for another defender. However since Hargreaves can fill in at RB I would doubt it. I really hope Anderson plays some role. He did go off the boil of late but he is one player that can change the tempo of the game when he comes on off the bench.
