I am tired on hearing how he wants to play in Spain. I know the Spanish press can be manipulative but he is old enough now to understand the impact of the situation his continuelly talking about moving in the press will have. He is making his personal interests the focal point of the press at a time when the club is probably playing it most important game in the last 10 years. I have always supported him but enough is enough. Go tell SAF you want to live and do so. Demand to leave and be done with it. Although I don't think the owners will take openly to having a binding contract thrown in their faces. I just think it is a bit selfish on his part to be discussing moving now.

Before anyone suggests it, NO I am not getting sucked into any media hype here, been around too long for that. Regarding CR though, I think his duration with us will be a lot lot shorter than we would all like. Would not be surprised at all if he up and went in the very near future. Hope he doesnt of course, but my money will be on an exit a lot sooner rather than later. It does not matter a hoot nowdays on any contract length. Prepare for it!!

I`m getting tired of this. I`m getting tired of that garbage club always unsettling players and always getting away with it. There should be regulations for this kind of behavior that acctually works. Clubs should be punished.
On the other hand if we could get Ronaldo for £100 million then cash in. It would be foolish not to do so. He is replaceable. We would be able to buy 3-4 world class players. Players that are better teamplayers than Ronaldo. My choice is Benzema, Ben Arfa, Daniel Alvez, Ezequel Garay and Micah Richards. Players that could leave would be Ronaldo, Silvestre, Saha, Giggs(retire) and Chris Eagles.

Apparently the main atraction of Spain is that they water the pitches more, so he won't hurt himself when falling over, again.

As much as I dont like the guy, he is really an asset to the PL and would be sad to see him go now. However i think he has been misqouted once again. He will be around for another season or two.

His agent is probably looking for another percentage cut.When you bask in the glory of having one of the worlds best players it has to come at a price.His agent will be looking for 250k a week for his client.You either let him go or pay up.If you pay up then the rest of the squad will be kocking at the Managers door asking for their contracts to be upgraded.

He will stay for at least 5 years when he will be 28, by then he would have become a United legend.

People seem to think that hes coming to the end of his career or something. He is a young lad and knows he has plenty of years to go before he can start thinkin about that.

Why are Madrid never pulled for tapping up players. Wenger said he would report Inter for tapping up Hleb, United should report Madrid.

Ronaldo has always stated his desire to play abroad sometime in his career. Hopefully it is later rather than sooner, but we have lost bigger and better players than him in the past (Cantona, Best, Law, Keane etc) and always bounced back.

Balders & Thomas - this isn't Real unsettling Ronaldo, its direct quotes from the man himself in an interview yesterday.

Not sure what goes on in footballers heads really, surely Ronaldo must realise what will happen when he says things like this? Just goes to show how worthless contracts are nowadays though, if he decideds he wants to go he will be off, even if he did only sign a 5 year contract last year.

Having heard the live audio on the BBC, this is extremely disappointing. Whether he wants to leave or not, he should not be undermining the team in the run-up to Moscow. Let's be honest, he was only ever passing through - if he doesn't leave this summer, it's only postponing the inevitable. I'd be delighted if he stays but, at he same time, a world-record fee reinvested in top quality replacements is a decent plan B. Contrary to popular belief, we're NOT a one-man team.

Can't blame Madrid on this one. Ronaldo was the one who spoke the words - he knew what he was doing. Incredibly selfish to do it prior to such a huge game as well. His ego is beginning to get the better of him I think.

Cristiano Ronaldo's hero and predecessor as Portugal's greatest player, Figo was probably the most traitorous scum to play football. He was captain of Barcelona and swore that he would never go to Madrid right up to the moment he signed a contract with Madrid.

It appears that Ronaldo is intent on following in his footsteps. There is no media manipulation here, these are his words (in Spanish). He said that he will consider his future after the final (whether he plays or not), that his dream is to play in Spain. It's not his agent, it's not the media, it's HIM!

Every non red I know hates him and it's easy to see why with his constant theatrics and melodramatic protests every time he is refused a free-kick.

He is not stupid, or at least not stupid enough not to realise the impact his comments to a Spanish TV channel would have before the CL final: all negative for United, all positive for Madrid and Chelsea.

It's a shame because he is our star player but if we could get 2 top players to replace him; deco, Etoo, Benzema, Ben Arfa etc, the team could continue to grow.
