The 21-year-old right-back has made eight appearances for United this season but, with Gary Neville close to a comeback, further chances at Old Trafford this term were likely to be limited.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson said: "It is good for the lad. The boy needs games and I have allowed him to go to Ipswich until the end of the season. They are a good football team and that will suit him fine."

Hope he does well for himself there. I don't think he'll ever take over from Gary, but certainly he can do better than playing in the Reserves. Difficult season for the lad, best of luck and maybe Ipswitch can move up and into the playoffs, that would be great experience.
