The Argentinian defender is currently on international duty at the Copa America in Venezuela, and has said that he will sort out his future after the tournament.
Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is said to be lining up a £7m move but Heinze wants a move to one of the Continental elite, and appears to have ruled out the first transfer between the two arch-rivals since Phil Chisnall left Old Trafford for Anfield in 1964.
Said Heinze: "The good thing is the clubs which are being talked about are super clubs. I already play for one super club and other ones such as Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus have been mentioned.
Champion
"For me to go, the offer has to be good for everyone. I'm very comfortable in Manchester. I've been a champion, captain and the fans love me. Everything is perfect."
Heinze's Argentina teammate Carlos Tevez has said he would prefer a move to Real Madrid once the Copa America is over.
There has been intense speculation that the striker, who starred for West Ham last season, is primed for a move to United. But Tevez himself is hoping new Real Madrid boss, Bernd Schuster, makes a move.
"I would like to play at Real Madrid, but there is no offer from Real," said Tevez. "I have yet to hear anything from Real."
Inter Milan have also been at the forefront of speculation but Tevez appears to have ruled that out: "I do not prefer to go to Inter Milan. That is a lie."
What do you think? Have your say.

The Smith situation is interesting as all the teams at the top of the PL second-tier (bar Spurs obviously) seem to be lining up to make an offer. That's good news for us as hopefully there'll be a bit of an auction to maximise the price.

Evra was much the better player last season. Evans and Pique are also talented and ambitious, so we need to thin out the number of defenders in our squad.
Silvestre is a decent full-back (where his lapses of conentration are less critical than in the middle) and Evans played left full-back for a couple of games for N Ireland (including the game against Spain, where he kept a certain F Torres in his pocket from start to finish) so it makes sense to me that Heinze moves on.
I'll still be gutted to see him go though :(

i would like gabby to stay and fight for his place and rediscover his form! there is no doubt in my mind he struggled coming back from injury/fatigue but given a proper pre season he would be back on form! not sure whether this season is the time to bring through the evans n simpson lads or give them a year on loan to a PL club (blackburn, birmingham and sunderland)

Our full-backs are generally much more exposed to one on one situations than theirs.
And that's Heinze problem, due to his lack of pace he can be easily outpaced by a fast winger if left in a one on one situation.

We are a better squad if he stays. Who would want to lose an experienced Argentinian International?

I wish you could watch both Milan games home and away, I lost all faith in Heinze.
The guy was outpaced by Kaka for both Milan goals at OT.
How about that howler, misplaced suicidal pass to Vidic under pressure. So much for his better defending when under pressure he cannot even clear the ball out of danger.
His passing game is suspect to say the least. He needs time on the ball to clear out of danger. Even in the FA Cup he was once left for dead by none other than Robben/Wright Phillips.
I am not a great a great fan of Silvestre but he is an able deputy to Evra. Heinze should go.

it appears from reports that tevez expressed desire to join real madrid..if this is correct..fine..let him go to spain..united do not want players that do not wish to play for united
l still think saviola is a wonderful striker..is available at this time..and sure as hell his transfer price is right..whatever..time is running out..lets get in one more world class player who can score goals
ps..saw anderson play first half for brazil against chile yesterday..l like this player a lot..much savvy and football skill..a great addition to manchester united

It seems like more and more are looking to get out while they can, so maybe it's not all a bed of roses at OT! Still, half of the match day muppets will still be able to buy their Heinze shirts, caps, socks and teddy-bears to fill the coffers at McTrafford. I suppose they will go and buy another Argentinian to keep their pointless chants going! More muppets than Jim Henson!!

He was much, much better against Mexico though. He's only 19 and we can expect him to struggle for consistency for at least the next couple of years.
Having said that, if his first display in a United shirt is as poor as the shift he put in last night I have no doubt he'll get absolutely SLAUGHTERED by certain contributors to this website!
