One day in pool is bad enough I wouldn't want to spend 3 months there.

November and December might be crucial, there's a lot of difficult fixtures there.

Can't wait for the new season to start, hopefully the striker situation will be sorted out. Smith will stay and be given a chance, Rossi will be brought back and given his chance and the new boys will chip in. Although Portugal lost yesterday Nani put in some wicked crosses very Beckhamesque. But he has pace and trickery. We should all be looking forward to the new season. Mourinho is already whinging about us buying the title, Chelsea would never do such a thing now would they.

Maureen complaining abt utd buying the title ok maureen, how much did you spend????
Maureen crying again because he lost to a man utd side with injurys and balls.

The berties will be wetting themselves, no manager, no players and no points come end of August. Oh dear! PS Manchester is red

I wonder if City will have a manager by the time we play them in the 3rd game of the season.
Hopefully, we will not take it so easy on them this time like we did in the last match.
It is exciting seeing the fixtures again, it will be here sooner than you know it.

Hmmm. Most likely the Chelsea v United game will be sandwiched between the semifinals of the CL, at least it's prior to one of the semis. Nice one, really helping English teams in Europe.

And it's nice to see we're playing arse at home and away games Boro, Blackburn, Chelsea and Wigan in our last 6 games. Well, at least Wigan's probably down by then.

Fantastic start to the season: City, Sunderland, Tottenham, and Chelsea in the first five weeks. The run in looks tough though, especially c/w Chelsea, who are home to Boro Wigan and Bolton (and MU), and away to City Everton and Newcastle. Ah well, we all play the same games over the season.

Looks like there's lots of seats available for next season. According to the club website, "As a small number of permanent book holders have chosen not to renew their facility during this renewal period, we are pleased to announce that a number of permanent books will be available in various areas of the stadium (subject to availability) on a first come first served basis to One Year Season Ticket Holders, prices range from £475.00 to £836.00." So, cutting through the Pravda-like spin, that means season tickets are available all over the ground, ranging from the cheapest to the most expensive. So, thanks to life-long Red Uncle Malc, that's even more loyal fans heading for the exit, all sick of paying for a takeover NONE of them wanted. Love United, Hate Glazer.

On a slightly cheerier note... thought wee Giueseppe was excellent for Italy U-21s against their technically-deficient English counterparts. Seriously, this kid is dynamite and we MUST keep him at all costs. He's got the lot - touch, technique, awareness, while his football brain is positively Scholes-like. Next season I'd go with 4-2-3-1: VDS, GN-is-a-Red, PE, RF/WB, NV, MC, PS, CR, WR, GR, LS. That's a cracking team... can you imagine having to deal with the 3 Rs (Rossi, Roon, Ronaldo)? Total nightmare. Still think Saha's deserves a chance up front, we played our best football last season with him in the team. On the bench, Hargreaves, Nani, Giggs, Anderson... very tasty. Not on the bench, Darren Fletcher... even more tasty!

I cant wait for the Sunderland game and welcoming Keano back, hope that he has a great season but obviously gives us six points!

Breaking news... there seems to be a number of Reds from Stockport (the big Bertie heartland)and maybe a few that live in and around Manchester also lurking on the site (as well as Man C fans). Seriously, Manchester is truly RED... we dont need club car stickers to know where we come from!

Well said Robbo!

What has anything Mancunian got to do with a Cheshire dweller such as youself?

MCFC: This is our city. Everyone who knows anything about English football knows it and that sickens you.

No amount of foot stamping and ranting is going to change that.

Just like it didn't change the result of the 1974 old trafford derby!
