Should have no problems adapting to the premiership - think of Ronaldo with a bit of Sparky power for good measure.

Will they live up to the hype? - that depends on how much hype the press build up.

Don't forget these lads are young and have never played in the Premiership. It will take a couple of seasons to adjust. Also, don't forget Scholes and Giggs still have some life in them and will play important roles next season.

We are building a team for the next 7 or 8 years and things are looking good so far. Have faith!

as said by others in recent forums i think the only player who is a cert to have a big impact is Hargreaves who will add much vital support to our midfield, as well as european experience and good german dicipline and tactical know how! Also can take a Damn good penalty! (typical german training!). But Nani and Anderson i expect as most do, to be used more sporadic, which ever one settles first will get the most games covering Giggsy and supporting Ronaldo on the wings. I honestly think that compared to the massive expectation and excitement they are in danger of having what most would be concidered a poor season if we're not sensible! Just as Ronaldo was labelled "the one trick Pony", both these players will need time to settle and personally i'm just looking forward to the flashes of brilliance and skill these two will bing in the season!! I think that SAF is looking to develop his 4-2-3-1 formation longterm, with hargreaves & Carrick as the holding midfielders and a fast, skillful, fluid front 4, all interchanagable with no ONE focal point. For all the clamour of getting a predatory striker - this often means play as to focus going through this one man - not so in this formation which is why we scored so many goals, but you need quality substitues which is now what we've got. So initially a gigga, scholes, ronaldo, rooney front 4, with saha, smith, anderson, nani, rossi & park flitting in and out dependent on need for rest, form and type of opposition. Maybe SAF as finnaly cracked this tactic, who knows but it'll sure be exciting seeing it!!!

alias smith - ta for that - y do you think theres been such a clammour for another Ruud?? We've scored more goals than anybody else this season, our defence as now been shored up in the middle with the ferdy & Vidic partnership, & our play as been so much more expansive than when we had that focal striking point. Yes we made need cover for Saha/OGS but seems quite clear that formation wise he SAF doesnt see this as the way forward, and if you look at the big matches, ball retention and creative passing seems to of been more of a problem - just not getting into positions to put the ball in the back of the net!

JonyB-), I agree that signing and# out-and-out target man would be a retrospective step. The football we have seen this season has been of the highest quality and IMO at its best when we've played with a fluid system of rotating forward players.

Not only has it been good to watch but, as you say, it's had an end product. And that's in a season where Rooney has not been at his best.

If we are going to buy a striker, it has to be someone mobile, pacey and capable of playing in the channels and out wide at times as well as through the middle. If only Saha could sort out his injury problems...

JonyB-); my thoughts exactly! I also LOVE the fact that we're so deadly on the counterattack. With that much speed in our attack (both Nani and especially Anderson are RAPID) we'll cause most teams alot of problems. I get excited everytime we win the ball. Problem is, we have it most of the time... hehe ;) I sure hope Anderson gets his work permit, and that they listen to Quieroz and Ronaldo's advise. That holy mix of southern flair and professional behaviour should be their mantra from day one. I hope they learn faster than Ronaldo when it comes to diving and effectively using their skills, since the main man himself; Ronaldo is there to give them some pointers on life in the Premiership. For me, Anderson is the player to watch. He's been awesome in every game I've seen him in, but does have a tendency to "trip" og "fall over". That should be addressed ASAP. Good luck guys, hope you'll feel home in Manchester.

Christer - i think that's a fair point mate, really important that they learn very quickly about trying to stay strong in the challenge - although it is difficult because i think diving as become inherant in alot of EPL play now, but is nowhere accepted as it is in europe and south america - and especially in portugal where those two footballing lifestyles seem to meet so readily. Saying that did you here what Hacket said - Drogs doesn't dive??? As he watched him this season - I think that it should read - Drogs Dives less, But Gerard as taken Leasons!!(Ha, Ha!)
Seriously though, think its no coincidence that Ronaldo's improvement as co-insided with his improvement in mental attitude which i think stems from the world cup, where it was probably said to him clearly diving will just compound what happens - just conceentrate on football and proving yourself the best you can be!

Has Nani actually signed his contract yet, and if so for how many years?

You'd imagine both he and Anderson would get 5 year deals considering their age and ability.

I'm looking forward to watching the U-21 Championships from Sunday. Nani should really shine in that and I expect Rossi to aswell.

The lads look good but definately need time and patience! and cutting out diving will help them improve! "falling over" was one thing that i had noticed about these a few times i had seen

nani is good from what i have seen and anderson i dont know and hargreaves , well he has his good and bad days like us all LOL

OWEN HARGREVE'S: yes he will live up to all the hype,he's the sort of player who will stay in position for the whole game, you'll find if the game starts to get taken away from united he will push thm forwards again 100% heart and very tough too

NANI:This kid is lightning fast he will give any team a run for their money, very hard to catch and he will give united extra speed and live up to the hype no doubt one for the future.

ANDERSON:One who i dont know too much about but since he's come into the spotlight i have looked him up at porto, on youtube and google video, he will be a fine paul scholes replacement in the near future

BERBATOV:This is one man who will replace our beloved ruud van nistleroy their game is so similar, berbatov will score more goals in a red shirt than a white(heart lane) one

I hope he turns out good for us although he does look a lot like Bellion (hope thats all it is). He is very right footed though for a left winger.
