can't complain with the ratings at all. Rooney is well worthy of his 8 and was easily man of the match. he worked hard through out and everton were making it evry difficult for us to get on the ball, but he still created chances for himself.

Nice for him to score in front of the everton fans.

Now lets take care of city next week, to give us a chance of winning the league at the bridge. That would be poetic justice after so many people writting us off during the last few seasons. especially the likes of ballack and co who thought united were finished.

to give Smith 6 is just its a mockery he honestly deserves zero, he is doing absolutely nothing, he is costing us. Come Saha and claim your position.

What a turnaround from a disastrous first half. In the first 45 minutes we had Evra having his worst match in his short United career, and we had the inexistent duo: Smith and Solskjaer. Sub the three of them and you end up with an amazing recovery and a great scoreline. Bring on Milan!

Now isn't it surprising who would turn out to be match-saviour!

Wes played pretty well today but he always seems to `be around¿ when we have a goal scored against us? He certainly had the opportunity to close the scorer down today but failed. I say a 6, same for Heinze.
Ole never seems to cut it when he starts and frankly shouldn¿t be in the side to start unless injuries dictate.
Smith is honest enough but lacks pace and subtlety which shows up like a flashing beacon at times. Today was one such occasion. Both a 5 IMHO.
Scholes¿ passing exhibition in the first half was brilliant and he was first class for the whole of the game. Carrick also played very well and was worth a 7.
I thought The Roon struggled for the first hour of the game when things weren¿t quite going to plan for him, but he¿s a `never say die kind of a guy¿ and his contribution was critical in the end. I¿d say man of the match should be shared equally between The Ginger Prince and the Roon.

know eagles scored but only on pitch for 4 mins and gets a five the same as wes who i thought deserved more, we,ve got wesley brown

O'Shea deserves at least a , scoring the goal that gave us hope and then deliver assist for Rooney's 3-2 goal. Eagles only a five for a very fine run-out and a brilliant finish is a bit harsh as well. I'd say 7 for Johnny and 6 for Eagles. And Solskjaer had probably his worst United-game for years and shouldn't be given better than a 4.

The need for a new striker is more obvious than ever. Saha is yet again out with a longterm injury and Smith/Ole were having really poor games. Neither of Rossi, Rooney, Giggs can lead the line. Splash the cash, if we have any?

I thought Gabby had a great game along side Wes and for me was MOM. Ole & Evra were poor, although both appeared to pick up injuries which may have hampered their performances. JOS was very good ,again, he's playing like he did when he got into the first team a few years back. Carrick and Scholes were also terrific in CM. Some of their movement, vision and passing were excellent, and after watching the game for the second time, I don't think our overall performance in the first half really was bad at all. Although Carrick doesn't make a lot of tackles, he always seems to be in the right place to intercept and he adds a calmness and assuredness in front of the back four. I think he's playing very well right now. His passing is a joy to watch. Great team result,effort and commitment. Now let's carry it forward to Milan and then the Council House.

steve glossop, unfortunately evra has had to be rushed back after his injury a little bit too quickly due to our current problems in defence. He clearly isn't fit and that will explain his below par performances. You have to give him credit though for not doing a robben or a kewell and crying off because he's not quite ready. Instead he's come back to do a job for united when we have needed him, even though he isn't 100%.

As Utd-For-Life, marseille ex-stretford said we should be coming here and thanks Evra and not looking at his below par performance as he is playing with an injury. Something we are all disappointed Saha is not ready to do.
Heinze turned a Vidic performance in the 2nd half and i have to say playing Smith and Ole proves why pace is important up front. As soon as we had Rooney with his pace we started causing more problems to Everton. I would not be sad if Ole hangs his boot at the end of the season or Fergie putting from the start as he lost all his pace. We should be careful not keeping playing players too long in their career as it takes a lot from other players as we saw with the great Keano.
We need to concentrate now on Milan by thinking about going forward as we cannot defend a lead sitting back.Then City should be another cup final as this game will be massive for the title.

Seamus i would agree re Carricks style, he's not a tackler. He played quite well second half as did most of our lads. I think their second goal illustrated the need for a proper tackling defensive midfielder, as Fernandes had all the time in the world. Carrick was in that area but didnt see the danger. Neither did anyone else i should say, but we need someone to snuff out the threat from that area. Fantastic result though, and i thought the performance we put in once JOS got the goal was excellent

Fergie's done it again - assembled a team that never knows when it's beaten, a team that plays glorious football and for which the possibilities are limitless. Win the title this year, tweak the squad a bit in the summer and I really can see us dominating the PL for the next five years - the confidence and experience the young players will get from this will stand the club in very, very good stead.

I know football is all about opinions but really as we are coming down to the wire in all competitions with injury problems (gentlemen take a look back at the players box when we played AC 6 of the 1st team squad not available) playing people out of position...all these players deserve our respect after all they are the ones who have put us in with opportunity of winning 3 trophies so suggesting someone is poor and someone deserves a 3 and that someone isn't good enough for united at this stage I find ridiculous. Well I think they all deserve a 10 and we should all get a 0 as alot of us (including me) were writing off united as no hopers and would win nothing struggling for 4 th spot... well who is the only team that can possible win the PL this weekend, which team is in Italy for the CL semifinal on wednesday and which team is in the FA Cup Final...!!!

all i can comment on is what i saw ! No Evra doesn't deserve applause for playing, his attitude from the first minute was a disgrace, he was looking over at the bench and in a silvestre type of way he wanted to be off !! True, Ole looked like he was playing in quick sand but he kept showing/trying but just wasn't/isn't good enough. It's true also that smith struggled (& he should have scored)but he was so isolated, we were getting over run in CM & our movement was poor. He kept trying though... Evra didn't! He was like a Bloody baby the way he kept looking down at his feet or over to the bench. I've been a real fan of his this year but i thought he really let the team down. It says a lot when you're replaced by Richardson and things improve ! So he may be carrying an injury but you either don't play or grit your teeth and play. either way, you don't sulk ! First half there was Only two players showed up, Gaby who was awesome & Rooney who worked his backside off from on the left flank ! Then came the Turner sorry turning point !! The last thirty mins was fantastic. When roon scored the 3rd, it went manic! we stood on our seats, i lifted my lad above my head whilst trying to keep my sunglasses on my head, try to not drop him over the little wall infront (as we were above the exit). I thought this doesn't get any better but when eagles scored .... words fail me ! We were in the lower bullens next to the everton fans who'd given us some stick at two-nil ... revenge is sweet especailly to the fat ginger scouser who kept putting his finger to his mouth at two nil, now whose telling us to shush ? final word has to go to all the reds who were marvellous in the alan ball (rip) tribute/applause. I still maintain, even if we win 'nowt, i don't care, this season has been fantastic - what being a red is all about. My lad won't appreciate how good this season has been until he's telling his own kids how he saw us put 7 past Roma, come from behind to win against milan, & saw us score 4 in the last 30 mins at goodison .... he's one very privaledged lad to have watched this TEAM !!

Evra was not good enough because he was not fit enough and he was removed so as I said before what is the point of saha returning before he is fit? Evra was risked because we have no cover at left back. We HAVE cover for strikers. So again what is the sense in Saha returning before he is FULLY fit. Let me help you out. There is none.

Soap box put away now, fantastic performance to come back. Agree with Steve, 10 for Phil. Wes Brown harshly marked down for his part in 2nd goal. That was just one hell of a strike you just can't hold anything against Wes or the keeper. Him and Heinze are improving as a partnership. O'Shea gain did well yesterday. Once again Richardson gave a solid performance nothing earth shattering but enough to suggest we need to stick by him for another year. Smith is still not match fit he needs to work on his timing of his runs - we can't keep asking the wingers and full backs to pelt down the wing supplying crosses if the strikers aren't flying in for them. Scholes and Rooney both played really well and Giggs standard decent perfromance.
