The Premiership favourites are in unstoppable mood as they shift their attention to Roma and the Champions League leg of the Treble bid.
The momentum is gathering after United's 4-1 destruction of Blackburn kept them six points ahead of Chelsea.
Sir Alex Ferguson's squad fly to Italy tomorrow aiming for a first leg success to put them on course for a European semi-final. And Carrick, United's £18m import from Spurs last summer, cannot get enough of it.
"We are playing some great stuff. We are back to top form," the midfielder said. "We had a few weeks when things weren't so good but we kept winning. As long as we keep winning then we can get the job done.
Pressure
"The pressure was on us on Saturday and it never stops. But this is what it is all about. We have a massive Champions League game to face now and this is what you want. It is why you join United. We showed a lot of character on Saturday and a lot of confidence. Despite going 1-0 down we kept playing the right way and we knew we could create chances.
"We stuck at it and played some great stuff in the second half and thoroughly deserved to win the game.
"We didn't get frustrated and start lumping the ball forward, we kept passing it and playing the way we do.
"Once you get one it gives you a massive lift. We came out playing well in the second half and you just hope for the first one to come sooner rather than later.
"Paul Scholes' bit of brilliance put us well on our way. Then it was a matter of how many we could score.
"There was a lot of relief when mine went in for the second to put us ahead. The longer it goes the more impatient you can become. But we knew we were on our way to victory then. Hopefully it continues."

The Italians will kick, spit, dive and make things ugly for us. Let's do this the Manchester United way. ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK.

Interesting timing for Totti to be bigging his team up. The standard of football in Italy this season is almost at an all time low, despite a couple of decent results for Roma in the CL. I really hope we teach them a lesson on Wednesday.

But I do agree that we should play Rooney in a central position.
Otherwise, based on current form (and assuming Saha is fit) I would actually be tempted to drop Rooney and play Saha as a loan striker (a position he played week in, week out for Fulham).
Scholes and Carrick can play in the centre of midfield with Ronnie, Park and Giggs in front of them, the three of them rotating between the wings or as an advanced attacking midfielder/support striker.
Which is basically what they did, to great effect, against Bolton and Blackburn. Total football, it's the way forward!

Yes, of course I would. I don't care if we win by playing XI men inside the 6-yard box, just so long as we stop the damn scousers from winning again!
But the league is, of course, the priority.
