Shakers want Schmeichel back

BURY could be poised to prise Kasper Schmeichel from Manchester City.

Schmeichel was a big hit at Gigg Lane until recalled by Stuart Pearce despite being fourth in the pecking order at Eastlands.

He's now up to third with Joe Hart loaned out to Tranmere Rovers.

Manager Chris Casper said: "We've had discussions with City about Kasper and I'm hopeful he'll come back at some point.

"He loves it here and the fans love him, but it's up to Stuart."

Should City let Schmeichel go back on loan? Have your say.

Yep. It's an infinitely better standard than playing reserve team football. It's evident in how so many reserve team players aren't earning a living in the game once they're over 21.

Hes been there enough. Now its Harts' turn to go out on a loan and a chance for Schmeichel to prove his worth as a challenger for the no. 1 spot within one or two years.
Ive seen him play for Bury a few times and he looks ok. Its up to him to put pressure on the others.

let him go on loan only

He's a keeper.

If he goes out on loan again it should be to a club in the Championship because I don't think he can gain anything else from Bury

I Think we should loan Kasper out again, to give him more big match games, and at some point in the future be named as
Manchester City's No.1 Goalkeeper ahead of Nicky Weaver, in a 2 year period.

Manchester City Forever.

Yes - Agree on Schmeichel going out on loan but perhaps to a different club which is locally based. Stockport are looking for a GK which would allow him to be monitored easily and he would gain different experiance and Gannon has a reputation for giving youth a chance
