INJURED City duo Trevor Sinclair and DaMarcus Beasley are both two weeks away from fitness, but Ousmane Dabo and Dietmar Hamann are back in full training and could feature against Liverpool on Saturday.
Dabo has been sidelined with a knee injury and hasn't played since his red card against Reading.
Sinclair has been suffering with a knee injury since before the Newcastle game, while Beasley aggravated an ankle knock playing against Charlton.
Pearce told the club's website, www.mcfc.co.uk: éTrevor, by the look of things, will be a couple of weeks.
éHe did it on the Thursday before the Newcastle game, felt the discomfort, played the game and credit to him but with his medical history of his knee we want to make sure.
éThe long-term future of Trevor Sinclair is more important than forcing him on to a pitch on Saturday.é
Beasley has made just four appearances since his loan move from PSV Eindhoven and Pearce added: éHeéll be a couple of weeks. Just to let that ankle settle down again, he had another bang on it against Charlton, which has not done it too many favours. Nothing long-term but just a couple of weeks so we can get him playing again.é
Hamann, however, is returning to full fitness and could feature against his former club at Anfield.
What team and formation would you use against Liverpool? Have your say.

Same team as Fulham. Same formation. Please don't start 4-5-1, as soon as we go behind it stops working.
Same line up as the Fulham game. The team must take their confidence from the home games to teh away games and by employing the same attitude it might just work
I'd like to see Dabo fit again - he's looked a reasonable buy on his few appearances so far. Is there some sort of jinx on these new buys ? SP must surely think so - we haven't seen Isaacson at all yet; we've seen Beasley once I think(and he seems the sort of player who plays once and then is out for the next ten games);Dabo has been out for ages;and as for Hamman ,well....He's a real mystery man who's been either gossly unfit or totaly disinterested on his few appearances for City,a total passenger.Bolton had a lucky escape there on what we've seen so far.
Scoucers 0 City 1. Joey Barton to score a penalty
Despite the fact he did well on Saturday, Reyna out, Dabo in, cos Reyna away from home is a flyweight of the first order. No room for passengers at Anfield, and so Georgie will need to break sweat as well
Totally agree, same squad as Fulham but with Dabo on the bench, he's impressive and needs games. Though there is a call for Reyna to be replaced, he looks tired and off pace. Hopefully SP's signing are going to start playing now they've adjusted to the prem. Corradi has been due goals over his past performances and Trabelsi was always a good buy. Let Dabo have a run out. COME ON CITY

That should get us an away win at last !!!!!
Blue John, could you please make a negative prediction followed by a drug reference as it seemed to do the trick nicely last time out. Cheer's.
Trautman, Book, Dunne, Doyle, Donachie, Summerbee, Bell, Bernarbia, Tueart, Lee, Goater. Bench - Weaver, Oakes, Marsh, Kinkladze, Quinn.
We'd beat them then.
Shame about Beasley - but having Sinclair out gives trabelsi more of a chance to bed in to the team. Be a tough game - I agree with those who say don't change a winning team. I'd give Reyna a start - if he's overwhelmed and seeming to be out of it I'd bring in Dabo. Otherwise we must have 2 forwards in the team.
Indeed Reyna may not look suited for this game, but Dabo will be short of match fitness. I'd still go with the same starting eleven.
I dont think this saturday we will miss the likes of Sinclair, where Beasley might have been able to do some harm with his pace. Than again, he would be up against Finnan ... mmhhmm, think I'll leave it to Stu. And I don't care who plays, as long as we get something out of this one. 0-0?
Same lineup as last game, but Miller, Dickov, Onohua, Isaksson and Dabo on the bench. Liverpool are vunerable to pace this season, so at h/t Miller for Samaras/Corradi, and put Vassell up front. Don't play Hamman until he's got some reserve games under his belt, as he's been awful for us so far.
Why are we paying DeBeasleys wages ?? He's a crock. Get rid !
